Need best 50/55 inch TV suggestion for parents

based on my personal experience, the first point to check would be how easy it will be for parents to operate the TV as earlier I had Samsung QLED 55inch purchased in 2018 and my mom watches Tata Sky i.e. DTH only and it was easy for her to operate as she herself would switch on the tv and browse the channels but now got TCL QLED which has Google OS and even though I have the setting to remember last signal source and switch off the tv with DTH as last playing, she is not that comfortable with navigation

regarding TVs, main point is the panel as for sound you can go with external systems i.e add them later so LED<QLED<OLED, for 50k budget OLED is out of the discussion, coming to QLED, Samsung QLEDs are the original/true QLEDs compared to TCL/Acer/etc as other companies achieve the tech with cost cutting but for DTH upscaling it shouldn't be a problem.

Similarly, 4k would make sense for sizes above 55inch so ensure you have atleast HD setup box and get HD channels for better picture quality

Samsung/Sony/LG are the top tier, next would be TCL/HiSense/Toshiba and rest like Acer/Thomson etc are all hit and miss, so QLED 55inch you can get it under 40k in brands like TCL/HiSense/Toshiba and don't go for other brands as TCL itself don't provide true QLED tech.

If you want QLED for 50k then only option is Samsung 2023 50inch models or 2024 models if you can get a good deal in offline stores during Diwali/NewYear

I went with TCL 2024 model C655 55inch which I got it for around 39k in August (had to buy it as Samsung QLED died after serving 6yrs and the panel cost was quoted as 58k for replacement 😃)

TCL is good when you view it sitting in front of it and picture quality degrades if move sideways (expected as its VA panel) but serves the purpose for me but still my mom is having a hard time to navigate the TV 😀

I got the Toshiba C350NP, it's pretty good. I paid around 33k.
