My First Gift to my Son..an Amazon Story

When I decided to give my first gift to my newborn son, as an addicted dimer I opted to look online for various useful products and shorted down my search to a musical gym for him.

I have been an old faithful of Amazon ever since they started their operations in India. But, while finding his very first gift ( Fisher Price Rainforest Musical gym_, http://www.amazon.in/Fisher-Price-L1664-Rainfor... ) , when I found Amazon price for the chosen product to be quite higher than the other site (Snapdeal), I thought of using their +* “tell us about a lower price?”_*+ option.

I informed them about the price difference and within a few hours got a reply from them about offering the product at the same price, for which I was more than happy. What impressed me was not the price they offered me, but their willingness to keep a customer loyal and happy.

Product listings: The product listing details were accurate and to the point. No false claim or wrong pictures.

Product Pricing: One of the best product prices are available on Amazon, and if you don’t find the best price just inform them as I did, and hopefully they will come back to you.

Packaging: The packaging of the product was great. As far as I know all fulfilled products are packed well in Amazon packaging boxes and havn’t received and damaged goods from them till date. They even have a dedicated Packaging feedback option.

Delivery Time: Received the baby gym 2 days after ordering, which was less than 48 hours as I ordered at night. Actually Being residing in am metro I can be partial if I say that they deliver my product with in 2-3 day every time, but even at my native their delivery speed is commendable and at par or even better than many sites. As far this product was concerned he was in his first gym with in 48 hours since it was ordered.

Return Policy: They have excellent return policy and money gets refunded in your acct very quickly. For COD products they provide option of NEFT transfer or Cheque. I had personally opted for NEFT transfer for returned products twice and which was processed well within a fortnight. They even have a return centre where in you can check the status of your returned package.
However, major drawback is that they do not have replacement policy. So any damaged/defective product has to be returned and if you have bought something at a loot price and it turned out to be defective .. sorry , you are doomed.

Customer Service: They don’t provide a direct Customer care number but give you a call back immediately after you ask them to. However, their support staff is not upto the mark and takes time to resolve even simple issues.

Overall in Indian scenario, Amazon India is currently providing good service which still has spaces for improvement, but for this product a ought to Amazon India their Due credit and a 5/5 Rating.
