Hi,

I’m writing regarding my Airtel Xtreme Fiber connection (DSL # ********)

My connection has been down for 18 hours now, the fourth time in just 10 days. This is absolutely unacceptable, especially given that I work from home and rely on a stable internet connection.

I scheduled a technician visit through the Airtel Thanks app, but when he called, I was in a meeting using my mobile hotspot because Airtel fiber wasn’t working. I missed the call, and now the visit has been rescheduled for the next day. I can't even reschedule it for today.

Is this how your support works? They just reschedule for the next day with no consideration for the urgency? It's Monday, a working day, and you couldn't find time today? It feels like you’ve hired staff from BSNL.

Don’t take advantage of your monopoly over loyal consumers. Jio’s plans are cheaper and better, and switching would take just a day. In my area, Jio Fiber services and support are far superior, with no rescheduling or excuses.

This recurring issue is why I haven’t opted for a 6-month or annual plan with Airtel Fiber. I know you won’t improve. Instead of donating to political parties, perhaps you should focus on customer satisfaction.

I have 6 Airtel users and 2 fiber connections in my house, and we will all switch to Jio as soon as possible. I assure you that I will not renew my plan on the next billing date due to such irresponsible and poor service from Airtel. I will also post about this on social media and advise my circle to avoid Airtel Fiber because of the poor customer support and service.

Oh, and I received a marketing email from Mr. Gopal Mittal, boasting about Airtel’s excellent services. Please forward this email to him so he knows the ground reality.

CHORTEL is the one who started this price hike game & removing call only plans, etc etc.

They only focus on Marketing.

Some local provides 100 Mbps for 500 monthly.

What are you paying now for which speed ?

Tata Play fiber service is best. Any issues they will resolve within 1 day and also they credit extra 1 day validity.

I got 2 days extra validity, last month from Airtel Fiber too.
Don’t know about Tata Play Fiber Services, have to check the service availability in my area.

Don’t know if you are being sarcastic man.
anyway I have put email of Airtel India Fiber head and CEO as well. Last time there were 10-12 Calls from their regional office and 4 visits in a single day to fix my fiber connection and then a lot of follow ups from Airtel Support.
I think now they will be used to it and not gonna entertain my email.
I am anyway switching to Excitel tomorrow onwards.

it would have been better if u called cc and tell them that u want to disconnect ur airtel fiber .

after 15 minutes repeat the process this time.

stick to that u want diconnection, they will forward it to senior, he will assure u to get the issue reolve by evening ( he mail makr escallation mail)

and ur issue gets resolved on priority as well as u are getting freebiees

I tried reaching out to them by calling on 121 but its all just automated IVR response. Thats why I mailed them bro. 

Can you share if there is any other number to contact them?

Bro you have to have a back up connection if you work from home. Mobile data may be slow but they are reliable. So have a 4g/5g hotspot as backup.

I have a Jio 4g Hotspot with me. But dont have a secondary sim. Thanks so much for the suggestion... looks like I am gonna keep it as backup.

In airtel thanks app there is option to register a complaint.

I have used it few times and response was fast too.

it makes sense to have a second broadband connection as your work has critical requirement of internet. just a few hundred bucks will go a long way.

Airtel sucks. And if you are in Pune it sucks 2x!!

Once I went on a ride with Airtel customer care agent, got to a manager, then did not leave him till he got the 'area manager', the guy who is manages the actual fiber network in my area and the 'on-field' technician. The issue was fiber cable got damaged as the municipal corp. guys cut trees before monsoon and one fell on of the tree damaged the cable.

I was assured that they are moving all their cables underground. This was couple of years back. Condition is even worse today. Luckily my office is nearby so I can just drive in in case of Airtel issues.

Moral of the story, there is no point in wasting time with such vendor if you have a better option. I have been hearing good reviews, in my complex, about Tata Fiber. Check which won actually works in your area and SWITCH.

I used to send several dozens of similar emails to Airtel between 2022-23 regarding activation of UL packs from main balance. Once that was achieved (thanks to DoT and TRAI intervention) I ported out all the imp. nos. to Jio one after the other. Strangely enough this hasn't borne fruit in case of Vi. Perhaps TRAI has stopped entertaining such requests.

Emails are mostly useless these days. They have AI programs to read those and it's highly unlikely that any human will be able to relate to the pain and anger you are experiencing. 

I had similar frequent service disruptions on BSNL landline over a decade ago. Sad to see it is still happening in this day and age of fiber even with Airtel.

I remember there was a time i used to write lengthy emails such as the op. Would include every bloody details. Then airtel fibre guy comes to install their connection as i was moving out from jio, and says they never bother to read the emails especially the big ones. And what you write in the email, THE VERY CONTENT, doesn't matter, as the fool reading it won't actually read it, rather next day they will call on your phone asking, sir please mention the problem you are having.

So nowadays my emails have shortened. Like oi my connection is down/problematic. Fix it asap. And i wait for that call the next day.
