Just wondering, How many of Dimers have ever fallen in Trap of such a Sextortion (cyber Thaggi) racket online on social media like Telegram, Facebook, whatsapp???
Just saw this news today, This is how modus operandi of their Racket works... Be Careful Dimers, if someone try to lure you online on video calls!!!

once i also got sextortion email regarding watching obscene content online and in email they sent me that they have my webcam video n all that, to makei it more orginal and horrific they also sent some oy my email contacts threatening if i fail to give them ranson ,they a re gonna send that video to all those contacts. I was like just please send me a clip so that i can verify your threat😂, because every time i purchase any laptop my first rule is put a blak taepe on the webcam section.
later on i got no reply and got to know after that its the latest technique to harass people these days.

I once received this kind of call on Whatsapp, aroudn a year ago.. There was this young girl, on a bed, half--naked. I 'interacted' for about 30 seconds, checked her out and then disconnected. She tried calling me again a few times but I didn't answer.

Although have seen youngsters regularly indulge in video calls even during flings.
Not sextortion, but know of an acquaintance who got very pissed when her guy 'moved on' but she was still unable to.
So this person (the girl) would get vengeful and everytime she came to know of the guy even talking to some other girl
this girl/ the ex would somehow (via via common friends) get to know and then made serious efforts to get the contact details of the girls (whom her ex was now talking to)
and she would send those girls or others the private videos of the video calls and in-person intimate videos of her and her ex.
It turned out even worse than sextortion for him. We did not know the guy, but a friend of ours was also friends with the sister of this (psycho) girl.
Eventually the guy moved cities and maybe was left alone.
Sadly police force in most places are totally apathetic even towards victims of cognisable offences.
About sextortion type stuff too.. yes.. have heard stories of immense stress and trauma to people (often males) who did get 𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘶-𝘱𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘶 on video calls and then got harassed.
But luckily here, the victim can actually minimise damage by simply blocking and moving on even if the videos do get to some acquaintances or relatives.
(Even if police does not help that is. Or if law enforcement agencies are never approached.)
But i personally feel like these or the typical MLM scams or the prince/ princess from Nigeria type of scams will always have some success. People WILL keep falling for them. It is the psyche, emotions, aspirations, insecurities which these scams target (which is what makes them relatively easy to pull offf).

I am wondering.. how much would my relatives, acquaintances, colleagues pay me to dissuade me from ever having myself videographed such.. if in a hypothetical scenario.. someone sends them my nudes or compromising videos.

Open Telegram and When You search "Girls Chat" or "Boys Chat", you will see some Groups with 55k to 90k subs. and Cyber Tuggi is happening openly there on public VC and on Channel Chat on the name of Paid girls VC service...If you text any fake girl profile there, these goons will openly send you rate card just like it's a Menu Card of a restaurant... I am apprehensive that many people are getting victimized there everyday and nobody is there to stop it... sad reality,...
Telegram Groups have became Modus Operandi Hubs oF these cyber thugs!!!
