Just send written complaint, you send money to wrong UPI ID by mistake.
Some banks like Paytm payments bank send you online UPI chargeback form for UPI money transfer to wrong address. Print out and fill the form, scan and send online to Paytm payments bank.

whenever i transfer money thru online(imps, upi, rtgs, etc.,) to anyone else first i’ll transfer minimum amount i.e., rs. 5 or 10 to the receiver account and then confirm whether it was received or not. if received then transfer the remaining amount to the receiver. i think this is the safest way to transfer. i am following this process for years.
What if I take cash from some stranger (who came to deposit) at ATM (BOLD RECYCLER in statements) for paying him via upi//any online transfer and later claim that I sent money to wrong person by mistake.?
(I usually do this to skip* queue and get cash fast)
There should not be reversals like you have mentioned because at entering VPAs you are given name to cross-check if it is the correct person/merchant you want to make payment to… by proceeding to send you are actually confirming that the name is correct…
Now how can you claim that the payment was done by mistake.?
