PM Modi: The festival of Navratri is coming in a few days. This is the festival of Shakti worship. India should move ahead with full force. I am making 9 requests for these 9 days.
1. Every Indian should remain alert and aware. Don’t step out unless absolutely necessary.
2. Those between 60-65 years old should stay inside their homes.
3. Follow Janta curfew from 7 am to 9 pm on March 22.
4. Thank service providers by clapping for five minutes at 5 pm on March 22.
5. Avoid going to hospitals for routine check-ups. Postpone elective surgeries.
6. Ask Finance Minister to take all necessary action under Economic Response Task Force.
7. Appeal business, high-income groups to not cut salaries of their employees.
8. Citizens should not indulge in hoarding, panic buying.
9. Don’t believe rumours or unverified news.

Its only been there for the people to assume that government considers their suggestions

On Saturday all places were extra crowded due to Sunday curfew .. such immature announcements will only spread more corona . People were already staying indoor due to corona scare but after curfew announcement they were all forced to step out on Saturday evening and mingle with crowds.

I was expecting city specific section 144 but these guys took it to a whole new level.
No one can match Indian Politicians
It’s more like a trial run for impending shutdowns. It has only begun most likely and hope it all stops here for us Indians. No one is telling about the havoc it would cause.
For eg US has estimated with 10% of their population being infected they would need 200k ICU beds and 74k artifical respirators but they have around 100k ICU beds and around 60-65k artificial respirators. Imagine what would happen to India with its 112th rank in health services.
They want to show everyone the seriousness about the issue so that people will take notice pan India. Yeah politicians dont care but now is not the time to pick and point everything they do. Some of the best developed countries are unable to do anything. This is just look around and learn to implement things, not some sacrosanct procedure.
