I guess, there are two ways to become Mod at DD.

First: You need to fit into the definition of “Community’s representative/choice” … This is how hese, Beinghuman and many other Mods qualify for being moderators.
Second: Full details of this method are “Censored”. [As a hint, your thought process should be in sync with someone important]

PS: Just my opinion, actual process might be completely different from the one guessed by me in above post. btw DesiDime is going to come-up with another role called as Junior Moderator. So, if a person is not good enough for being a Moderator, he/she may start from this Platform. I also want to know where to apply for Junior Moderatorship? Hopefully I am eligible.

More than salary its a job of Honor… You will get satisfaction of being able to give back to this community which has given all of us so much. To be more precise, its not a Job, rather its a responsibility. Also, the first step to become a Moderator or Junior-Moderator is to understand the responsibilities and duties. for that you need to take off your focus from ‘salary’ part.

For being a Moderator, emotions like ‘Hate’ doesn’t have any place. Rather than the feeling of hatred, you should have feelings like empathy, sympathy, Love, sorry, etc etc… Then you qualify for being a Moderator.

So first develop love towards your field of study… Excel in it.. get a good paying job… Love your Job.. And then come with an application for being a Moderator…
