My brand new - 1 month old phone
realme NARZO 70x 5G
https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B0D3...8N
took holy dip during evening session of chhath puja , was in my jeans pocket .. remained immeresed for 2-4 mins .
Was in working condition , switched it off ... took it to local mechanic .. he opened and cleaned it .. latter some display IC went kaput (maybe some mechanic scam) ... 1000 Rs invested ... phone got in working condition .
tons of issues now ... display has white patches , phone network is shit .. maybe sims (airtel & JIO) went bad ... network coming and going ... calls not connecting .
In short lets consider this phone as DEAD PIECE .
This was good phone , performance wise .. was suiting my all needs .
Previous phone was -
Motorola g52
https://www.flipkart.com/motorola-g52-charcoal-...
It was bad bad , very bad experience .. suffered using it for 1-1.5 years .
So long story .. short , please suggest good phone i.e robust .. no internet bullshit phone .
Requirements -
Okay camera .
Superb performance .
No bullshit UI / ADs etc ... simple and robust navigation .
no gaming , no social media .. buit decent app usage .. mostly banking and work .
Please suggest good performance phone in budget of 10-15 K or higher .
But investement should be in performance , durability and longevity ... can't change phone every year / 6 month ... shifiting apps and data is like hell .

Aasha hai aap ke bhi.. kaafi kuch dhul gaye honge (if there were any sins earlier).
Aap ka kehna hai ki jab fone unpack hua, tab (despite water damage), aapne usko dou-deen din at-least.. sookhney nahin diya¿
balki circuits ko.. punah power supply de diya?
Aap dhanya hein 🙇🏻prabhu🛐.
not an expert but I would suggest go for samsung A14 for aroung 8K (some desisime post, please search). and maybe later after one or two year buy good one.
else cant say about realme or xiaomi phones.
buy cheapest Xiaomi poco, above 1000antutu, 12gb
Samsung f34, during offer, you will get around 12-13k
Iqoo z9 5g(8gb/128gb) for ₹15300 with icici amazon pay card
My suggestion would be Samsung A15 bro
So one locked choice - SAMSUNG Galaxy A15 5G ... 6GB or 8 GB
waitingg for other better suggestion / options .
sometime thinking of !Phones too .. considering thier performance , longevity ... but i can't survive with their apps and ecosystem .... they are some diff hell .
I am using realme narzo series in my family.
Price range is from 8k-15k, simple fast UI, great battery backup, running strong for 3 years and not lagging.
Not an expert and sorry about the new phone. Must be frustrating and annoying
Only Lava, moto and Nokia have stock Android if you want to go that route. Moto reviews seem horrible.
Lava Blaze and Agni have good reviews
POCO - X6 Neo, M6 Pro, M6 Plus. My parents have been using Poco for more than a year with no issues - all the talk about motherboard issues seem to thing of the past.
Redmi 13 5G, Note 13 Pro
Iqoo Z9X, Z9s
A lot of other dimers have suggested Samsung models already. Oneplus and Nothing - maybe some other dimers can help with those
If you're not averse to Tecno - Pop9 and POVA6 and Infinix Note 40 Pro
Or if you really liked the Narzo 70x invest in it again for the next 2-3 years. At least you'll have peace of mind since you liked its performance.
You said you liked narzo 70x , so why not buy it again?
i have 10 year old moto g trubo .. which is strong as a bull .
I would suggest a cheap One plus phone with IP ratings.
I usually change phone only after 3 years, Thanks to nord series, they are robust, durable, waterproof and decent performer with ad free clean UI.
Camera's are average though.
With 15k in hand + additional 2K, I will buy Poco X6. Has SD 7 Gen 2, AMOLED 1.5K 120 Hz screen screen, 8GB RAM+256GB storage, stereo speakers, 64 MP OIS camera, In-Display fingerprint scanner, 67W fast charging and guaranteed update to three OS upgrades make this one of the best android phones currently.
I've had two Poco phones in my family, they all have been reliable and currently my wife is using a Poco X6 phone for many months now. No issues as of yet.
You should have visited official service centre. They would have avoided all other damages.
and they would have charged me a bomb .. atleast 3-5 K .
Jitney ka bachaa nahin .. ussey jyada ka jhunjhunaa.
and result would have been same .. damaged phone .
water damage is something very very real .. every aspect gets affected .
Stay away from poco .
Buy Xiaomi, realme , oppo, moto devices.
when u dip ur phone in water immediately switch it off and put in rice keep there for 2 days, that's the easiest way to save electronics from water damage
about phone suggestions i would say moto g45 fits ur requirements clean ui, sd695 is great with ufs storage and hd display (not having fhd display is a con but at 10k only poco offers fhd display now without compromising on performance)
but u suffered with g52 so don't know what to suggest 😅
But river or pond water has more dissolved minerals and suspended particles which can cause corrosion to soldering joints of phone motherboard. So my suggestion would be same as yours, turn-off phone and put it in rice/ puffed rice bag. Though silicone gel packs would do much better job.
Then go to service centre or repair shop and ask for motherboard clean up with isopropyl wash to remove any residual water or other stuff.
I wonder why people don't use puffed rice instead plain riced for moisture absorption purpose. Puffed rice is lot better for that purpose.

@saymyname78 think a 10 Rupees sturdy ziplock bag could easily save the mobile from rain or " Holy Dip" in river, pond, sea water.
I always try to put my phone in plastic ziplock bags when going in or near any waterbody, waterfall or sea shore.
I recently saw a Swiggy delivery guy warapped his mobile in cellophane wrap. When I asked told me ho got ( " managed it" ) it from a friend working in a restaurant.
Moto UI is good, a lot of custom settings available, but has internet connectivity issues.
My old phone had same fate while I was carrying the Ganesh bhagawan for nimajjan into water along with others.
I gave it up, didn't try to get it repaired as it was immersed for 5 mins. Many parts would be comprised so no use trying to resuscitate.
Samsung A16 5G offers 6 years of updates which is great. The MTK D6300 isn't a good fit though in that price range. I think it would be usable for 3-4 years at best before newer Android OS versions coupled with the usual slowdown associated with OEM software makes the device not snappy anymore.

got this from local samsung store for 17500 (cash) .
hope my decision was correct , fingers crossed .
satisfied with performance and overall aura of galaxy a16 .
