Hello everyone,
I haven’t kept up with mobile trends lately and could use your help.
I’m looking for some entry-level smartphones for senior citizens. Their primary uses will be streaming and WhatsApp calls. These phones are being donated, so they need to be reliable and not require visits to service centers. I would greatly appreciate it if you could highlight any models or upcoming deals you are aware of. The lower the cost, the more phones I can purchase. Ideally, < 10,000.
Thanks a lot!

I don't fall under the old age category yet. But I would be greatly thankful if you can kindly donate one to me too .
Interesting. How many senior citizens are you donating to - in what strata of the society. How are they going to pay for the monthly data usage?
Go for moto g24,g34 models
+1 for Moto G34. 11k. With offers, it can be bought at 10k. Best all-round mobile for such use-case.
For YouTube, I recommend a big screen (TV) that reduces the strain on eyes.
Senior citizens like Samsung most. Go for F14 (PLS display which is a better version of LCD, FM radio, proper 5G network, voice foucs, take 6GB variant, good battery). There is a flipkart GOAT sale going on, or wait for the independence day sale which will commence on the first week of August. Don't take M14 available on Amazon, M14 is 500/- costlier just for a dummy camera. Also remember that Flipkart has open box delivery when receiving mobiles. But you have to buy 25W Samsung charger wroth 1k with it. Price 9-10k without charger.
If you want to go for a higher range, then I can recommend F34 (sAMOLED display, lots of features, voice focus during call, good battery etc.). Need to buy 25W charger with it too. Price 12-13k without charger. Can check amazon for M34. Buy any which costs you less.
Also there is a model known as F15, I would suggest to skip it. Its good looking but I found it internally not as good as the other two, though it wouldn’t matter to senior citizens that much. Price 12-13k without charger. Avoid M15 from amazon, bad looking.
All the phones are on the heavier side (over 200g). Also, you need to apply tempered glass and back cover ASAP you got the phone. They are very prone to scratch and fingerprint like magnets.
These are from my personal experiences. I've used all three models.
