MDR Charges on UPI transactions using Rupay Credit

It seems, soon transactions via Rupay credit cards over UPI will be chargeable. I guess, this is the reason many banks are promoting/giving offers on Rupay cards and even providing pre-approved rupay cards.

hmm nah switching back to visa is hard, once got drugged to rupay, rupay business plan is getting hooked up in this so called drug of easy scan pay (but they failed since it didnt work most of the time with merchants disabling it) but ya once we got used to rupay easiness we will quit visa swipe and master swipe xD that was all the plan made by Rupay+Govt.. but sadly it wont go that way xD

If this happens we will stop using UPI on CC, and return back to cash. No matter we are free.
Original UPI is best, UPI on CC is not good.
once you got to credit cards, you will ditch original UPI xD:) so thats how it got to this stage now:)
but ya rupay CC is waste:) only 1.5% average reward but in real credit card its 2.5% to 5% average reward:)

Credit Card/Credit on UPI charge MDR fees. Nothing new.
This is more than 40 years old news. When credit cards entered the Indian market.
They already taking MDR from merchant. Now from us too?
