Please don't carry too much cards except one dc & cc for emergency.

Also, keep adhaar & pan photocopy, no need to carry them around.

Complaint to Police station immediately since u lost imp docs & huge no. Of cards.

This report copy maybe asked by bank incase of any frauds or replacement.

Immediate Steps to Take

File a Police Report i.e. First Information Report (FIR) for the lost wallet in the nearest police station.
This is important for documentation and may be required for identity theft protection.

Notify Banking Institutions, I see that you have already blocked most of them via app / Websites but contact their customer support intimating the same & asking for a replacement based on lost/stolen

Onecard Metal has highest re-issuance charge, some 3000 rupees i think so if plastic card replacement is available then choose it over metal. You can Confirm with Onecard support before applying.

Yeah that's the most concerning one Ive seen the metal replacement charges will be without physical card in that case 😅

Apply for pan card and order pvc adhaar card online.

As you already took measures there is no need to worry .

Bro, I am sorry to hear that, report it to the police and make sure you keep a copy. I don't see the purpose of carrying such items as since the arrival of UPI, Tap & Pay and Tap to Pay most people these days don't even carry cash or cards. Nothing can be done now, but from now on, avoid carrying all that stuff and store other documents, such as Aadhaar, PAN, DL, etc, in the DigiLocker.

    Benevolent Benevolent

Yeah bro a lesson has been learnt will not carry all of these from future on.

I only take 2 cards with me. 1 cc and 1 dc. And only because I have to pay around 3L every few weeks. Before this I carried only one card. And only photocopies of my DL and stuff. Rest are all in phone. I've seen my friends carry 20 cards like this too and don't understand why. Once you lose your wallet everything will be a headache.

    Benevolent Benevolent

    Sorry for your loss.

I once lost my wallet 5 yrs back. Had some cash, 3 cc and 1 dc, original DL.

1st step was to block all cards and then lodge a FIR.

Getting new DL took some time and around 750 rs.

As far as ccs and dc is concerned, I got them renewed by paying reissuance charges.

Since then I carry just a dc and a cc and nominal cash (just as much necessary)

All govt ids are managed by digilocker and other card payments can be done by nfc from phone

why block cards just change the limit to 1rs reissue one by one.

please use digilocker and keep 2 wallets one for travel one for daily use close all your debit cards they are kind of usless in todays era only keep 1 that to with the highest cash withdrawal limit

    Benevolent Benevolent
    Link Copied

Yeah bro I will start the process today.

I also don't want to keep these debit cards unnecessarily but how do I just remove them as bank sends new one or even if I don't activate the card they still charge.

So sad to hear loss of your wallet

Suggest to carry only max 2-3 cards mix of dc, cc in wallet. Also as suggested by many dimers original pan and DL should be kept in home and carry only photocopy. Aadhar pvc can be ordered new just for 50rs.

So what all documents should we keep in wallet? Is digilocker version of Driving licence and Pan fine?
