Loan defaulter

One of my relative took personal loans and loan on credit cards as of I know the amount is nearly 20lakhs he paid only 3 months emi and now he's trying to default them as he lost his job
What will happen to him now ?
He asked me for advice but I didn't know anything about these so anyone please give me suggestion
Personally I think it's not good to take even one rupee which is not yours
