I bought kent for around 7.5k or so 4 years ago- during BBD. Spent 4k once for all replacements. Wont need another service for another 2 years i think. Even without considering future years it is under 3k/year for me while this costs upward of 6k/year. Is it really benefitting you? Even if you are living in a rented accommodation, changing location with a small RO is really not a problem.
Livpur RO Rent Review
I asked for the RO rent feedback and dimers helped me to decide. Here’s my small review for the product as I saw this question was asked in 2-3 threads.
My old thread:

I’m using this from last 1-2 months now. I got Livpur bolt model, check the link below:
https://www.livpuresmart.com/ro-subscription/pr...
Initially paid ₹1500 as security deposit and ₹499 for first month unlimited water supply. This machine is connected to wifi so it automatically stops when your plan expires. You can recharge it online, simple process and it automatically gets activated again.
There are many plans based on litre consumptions and you can topup too, I prefer unlimited to avoid any hassle and these are the 4 unlimited plans available:
Everything is included with amc/filter etc. I recharge with 3 months plan today and all payment options are available including paytm/phonepe/apay etc with ₹50-100 cashback offers. If you’re living on rent or paying hefty amounts for RO filter/maintenance you should check this out
I hope this will help others to decide.
Also, you can refer your friends and family to get ₹500 Amazon voucher to your registered phone/email and the referral will get ₹100 off on any plan.
@wackophant you asked for the review too.

Depends on the water supply, if you get decent water you won’t need to change the filter on short basis, here the water from municipal is absurd, dirty, etc. I had to change filters every 6 months costing me on average 5-6k yearly plus visit charges and if anything goes wrong, pay for the hardware too.
@Faug who pays for the water? I mean what is the water source? Livpure refills that?
I'm assuming water source is ours. So what I'm trying to get to is, as you said if the plan expired, the purifier automatically stops. So do we lose access to our own water if we do not pay them?
Ofcourse having a tap with separate RO line or disconnecting the pipes to RO are the options, but are they possible here straight forward without any cost on us?
Kya iss RO ko seetha motor se connect karke ... direct water tank mai ( 1000 Liters ) lga sakte hai?
This will resolve all my problems

I would suggest to chat with livpur cc for the same. I’ve no idea.

I had this in 2018. Bad experience!
Better to buy RO
Let’s see. This is why I did recharge for short duration. I don’t trust any cc service easily.
