in places where LG has their own service centre (and is not a third-party set-up, that is, an authorised service centre)
i personally would prefer LG.

Off late though, I have been eyeing a Samsung 12KG, but I want a bargain with the dryer function too and that (model).. is (available) in Vietnam.

by the way @24karat good that unlike @ishandon at-least you got your account access restored, but had to loose dignity and resort to bowing to some of THE most incompetent ones.

In top load, surprisingly some of the Panasonic models too are good, but again.. available in South East Asia. (I am talking of the 8-9 KG capacity models.)

at my folks place, they been using LG for over 24 years.
back then LG imported from Korea too.

Unless your top load too was bought in past 8-10 years
moving to front load might feel like, there is very less rinsing happening (as in.. not enough water).

like how in old era, the top loads would work fine even if one raise the lid and added more water.

Versus in these front loads, if one uses just the right amount of detergent, then it is okay.
else there is always a feeling of the aroma/odour remaining in clothes. Which means that the detergent (even if liquid gel) has not properly been washed away.

Other thing, that i personally found a bummer, was that unlike in the old era toploads.. which had an easily accessible lint filter.. here in frontloads if any larger debris is there.. then good luck.

Some ladies have a habit of tucking garments with safety pins or keeping some hidden in their clothes for later use.
If such metal objects, coins or even currency notes are in a frontload.. then they keep thrashing the clothes and remain in the drum.

Overall the experience with their (my folk's place) LG frontload is okay though.
subsoil water messed up the water inlet port by clogging it over the years.
ot could be cleaned in one or two visits of the technical though (with my folks becoming the chief helpers of the technician and keeping that water dispenser assembly soaked in vinegar or other solutions till the technician came the next day).

They gave in to the sales pitch and bought inverter AC, Fridge, clothes washer in 2014 itself.

The LG frontload (bought and in use since 2014) had to undergo a replacement of what the technician said was a failed 'drive motor'.
This happened in the past twelve months only.

Had the ten yeR warranty not been there, the direct drive part alone had over 8000₹ printed price.

But i would still recommend a direct drive type motor.. instead of a belt system.

Those duvets/दोअढ, rajaai, blankets come out really dry at 1200rpm spin cycle.

@24karat -- After buying & using 4 IFB's, cheapest to the top of the line frond load washing machines and then moving to LG 10.5/7Kg Front Load Washer-Dryer and using it since ~4years I would confidently suggest you to go for LG.

If the 10.5 front load had/has a dryer function too.. mind telling the model number?

would look it up for whatever comparable is now available.
