LETS
Hi guys I have Asus laptop 5 year it's still working good and my kids are happy with it but I just want to upgrade SSD and ram.

1. Have 2 slot one is m.2 sata or 3x2 nvme I don't know but pre-installed 256gb SSD is m.2 sata b&m both key
How can I check does it support nvme 3x2 or not????

2. 2 slot for ddr4 2400mhz ram, one samsung 8gb pre-installed...
I want add 8gb ram but 2400 mhz is expensive than 3200mhz.
Does it work with 3200mhz ram ???because motherboard and processor use(support )only 2400 mhz.
Some where I hered that it will work fine any one can confirm!!!!!

Model details and specifications are
Asus s15 unr 256(ssd)+1tb(hdd)+ 8gb ram
Intel i5 8th gen 8250u + nvidia graphics card 2gb

install the same gb + freq ram to get the max benefit of dual channel ram

But official crucial say you use high frequency ram its work fine... Motherboard automatically downclock and use as 2400 mhz.... In local market 2400 mhz is not available and 3200mhz give at 1300-1400 but online 2400 mhz is around 2.5-3k

cant comment on the storage side until we see the motherboard, if it has nvme slot then go for it

but if you ask my feelings about should you upgrade your laptop, i would say no

you have u series i5 processor already installed with 8gb + ssd

adding more ram + ssd wont give you any big measurable results

upgrade only if 8gb is not sufficient for day to day work

Use Software Tools like HWInfo or CPU-Z to gather more details about your hardware.

Look for details about the M.2 slot, specifically if it mentions NVMe suppot vs SATA

If you install a 3200MHz RAM stick alongside your existing 2400MHz RAM, it should work, but both sticks will run at the speed of the slower one due to the processor/motherboard limitations. (but make sure it’s compatible in terms of voltage and timings & ensure that they at least support dual-channel configuration)

Again its per my knowledge but what do i know !

Very small chance that an old laptop with specs like these would have NVMe m.2 slot, most likely m.2 sata only. Get 3200MHz ram 8gb laptop ram from crucial. Motherboard/processor ram support basically means that no matter how high frequency ram you buy it will run at max supported ram frequency by processor/motherboard unless overclocked.

The CPU support 2400mhz max ,so get same specification RAM for optimal performance.

For SSD it support SATA M.2 2280
