Details:

- You can choose the islands you want to visit during your application.
- Carry a printed copy of the approved PAP and your valid ID proof while traveling.
- Certain islands within Lakshadweep might require additional permits for specific activities like scuba diving or wildlife photography.
- Check with the respective island authorities for details.

I hope the renewed interest in lakshadweep gives a fillip to long neglected  Kerala tourism also

You can bring down the costs by travelling on land to Kochi.

few hill stations are nearby to Kochi (Wayanad,Munnar)

Kerala neglected? Kerala has been popular tourist destination in the recent years. As far as I know, every IT gang jets to Kerala two, three times a year.

Do whatever you do but don't forget couple of things

  • dont litter
  • don't try to show off your tourist status by blatantly disobeying law and order
  • respect women.
  • Keep your surroundings clean

YES, if you love adventure under-water sports
yes, If you have the right person  along with and can have a blissful stay in serene surroundings
yes, if kids along with

The local cuisine that you get in  Andaman, lakshadweep, portblair, and malidives is having lot of similarities

The local people in Lakshadweep are extremely friendly and helpful

I have been to these islands many a times but have never explored them

Some more hacks & tips :
  • Set a travel budget, plan and pack in advance for a stress and hassle free trip.
  • Use sunblock/ sunscreen with the right amount of SPF (30 SPF/50 SPF) as per your skin type.A water resistant, reef safe sunblock/ sunscreen is even better so it doesn’t harm the environment.Protect your eyes with UV protection sunglasses. You can use lip balm to protect your lips.
  • Waterproof your electronic items esp phones with water resistant case/bag.
  • Keep good slides/flip flops and Aqua/water shoes (for rocky beach),Sand free water resistant beach mat,few antiseptics ,painkillers & insect repellent.
  • If you are gonna swim, stay in a group & don’t swim alone to stay safe.
  • Stay hydrated by taking plenty of water, sports drinks or fruit juice.
  • Don’t annoy or try to catch sea creatures, even touching can harm them due to sunscreen / oils on your skin.
  • Last but not least don't litter, pick up all your trash and other stuff to protect other people, wildlife & Mother Nature.

Have a wonderful trip!! Bon voyage!! 😊

Well said. Otherwise Lakshadweep will also become a garbage zone from the protected zone just like we see other popular tourist spot due to overcrowd.

Govt should be very strict about cleaningness of all tourist spots across India.
