Update as of October 24th: An Executive from Reliance reached out - Ambujesh Yadav Ji, AVP, Commercials. A request was made for £93,345, which represents the tuition fees for the EMBA program. The request has been denied. Reliance will proceed with legal action. I hope they will reconsider this kind request. I wish such a large group could help. Thank you to all who shared and sent kind words. I don't have the power to stand against Reliance. I don't feel I infringed any trademark when I bought this in 2023, since JioHotstar was not even in existence at that time. No body had trademark for JioHotstar when i bought it. I might automatically lose access of this domain in few hours. If any legal professional could help, I would be grateful.

Lately Disney is removing Star brand from everywhere slowly. The only reason they can keep Hotstar branding only due to it's popularity in India. It doesn't hold any value in either companies names.
With 37% ownership Disney would want to keep it's name in branding.
They can name it JioDisney and so the website JioDisney.com.
If Disney agrees,they can simply copy Disney by keeping it Jio+ and website JioPlus.com.
Btw JioPlus is still available for sale guys. Try your luck.😄

he would be slapped with court cases left,right and center 😂
Court can't do anything as domain is already registered by him.
Jio is not some random guy who file cases for no reason.
They can use any other domain.
He has kept the domain with bad faith. With this kind of clear text on the website, he already lost the legal case. (UDRP)
No one can help him now. Instead a blank website might have helped him minting a lots of money.
Technically Jio/Reliance will win this dispute for the basic fees of $1000. + Lawyer fees.
They can slap these expenses + heavy penalties on him for free.

he could settle for less, he indirectly threatened them so. plus asking for that big amount and expecting them to pay just coz they got too much money isnt right imo. they will go legally or they will choose other domain.
JioStar would be a better name than this mess.
