f. say you put sim 1 from smartphone to jiobharat phone and then recharge it with jiobharat plan. later can u put that sim back to smartphone and recharge with smartphone plan?
g. last suppose you put jio sim 1 to jiobharat plan and recharge it with jiobharat plan. now can you take that sim out and put jio sim 2 and recharge the same with a jiobharat plan? i mean can this jiobharat phone be used for different jio sims?
some of the above questions might sound stupid but reviews on the internet are divided about this. moreover jio store employees have no idea about this, so asking all these questions to clear all doubts.
Kukdookoo, the SIM.. ANY jio SIM has to be i the Jio phone for at-least 24 or 48 hours.
Once the network sees regular pangs from that device and that number, then the jiophone plans can be done.
I have people around me who use those old black phones with buttons.
I will try to ignore that you are getting too carried away with the 'incoming will stop' number will be disconnected thing.. and try to answer some of the other queries..(no, none of the queries will be seen as 'stupid'. you can trust others to be in the same boat at times.)
The same device xan be used to activate jiophone plans on multiple SIMs, Jio does not care.
But then i have no personal experience as i i rarely use those phones for a call or two, at times if i am around those relatives.
There is no such thing as the 'conversion' of a smartphone pack to a jiophone pack.
Those are packs with barely any daily data. Whereas the smartphone packs usually have much more.
Although I do not know anyone in recent times with a jiophone SIM without service validity, but Jio is not treating those much differently.
Just as incoming calls come on the SIMs in smartphones, so do they come in the small black button phone (even if no active service pack is not there).
No, the jiophone packs do not work if the SIM is used in a smartphone for long.
Like maybe an hour or two it might allow some services.
But otherwise if one does a recharge of 1234 (previously at-least it was there)
and then after few days one inserts that SIM in a non jio phone or a smartphone then it will eventually stop. ₹1234 was/is a one year recharge.
If i missed something or if I know other details, I can try answering more.
But trust me, even by October 2025, they would still not be disconnecting numbers for lack of a service validity plan.
I never had anyone around who kept msin balance in their SIM, so I cannot comment on the frequency and reasons for deducting it.
