Jio Postpaid to Airtel Prepaid

I've got a Jio postpaid sim which has 2 add on sims. I want to convert only the main sim to Airtel Prepaid.
What would be the best & cheapest way to do it?

1st make child sim independent
clear all the dues till date (pay unbilled amount in advance )
then generate port code
go to reliable shop (you can go to airtel office but most probably they force you to take postpaid by saying you cant port from post paid to prepaid )
port to airtel prepaid
another way is after clearing dues give a port request on airtel website (but prepaid i don't think they really care)

first convert the main number to prepaid in "jio" and then only you can do it easily i think
