Jio New/MNP Sim Self-KYC Fraud

Hello guys few months back Jio started iActivate service in which we can do self KYC from Jio website for buying new/MNP Sim. No need to visit any retailer or jio store for fingerprint/photo capturing etc. Now yesterday I've tried to port my BSNL Sim to Jio through self KYC option and successfully done my KYC. After KYC they asked me to choose any plan and pay for the same. So i paid ₹299 for 1.5GB/day plan. Then i got a order reference number through email. Then after 5 minutes got another mail that my Application got cancelled because of mismatch information so my MNP request got cancelled. Now there customer care telling me only postpaid customer are eligible for refund if MNP request got cancelled. Now this is a clear case of fraud because they have taken money from me for 1 month plan but didn't provide me the service. I've paid the money from my credit card is it possible to file Chargeback on my card?

Most fraudest company I've seen. Will port my remaining family members number out of Jio. Will call Amex customer care tomorrow for chargeback.

So in self kyc they send the sim after activating or they give only e-sim? Getting activated sim via delivered by agents or their own staff is the biggest security threat especially scammers looking for activated sim. What if they don't deliver and use the sim to drain your attached bank account?
Esim but maybe also an option for sim delivery is there not sure

If that does not work, then take them to the dry-cleaners.
(If doing that.. if filing consumer forum complaint, instead of asking for monetary compensation for mental agony.. can take the reimbursement of legal fees and other costs.. BUT for the non-monetary compensation.. have a Reliance Jio Vice president 'apologise' on-video and request the judge to include it in the order that the defendant provide the copy of the apology video to the plaintiff.
If you then upload the video and charge even one paise per view.. you would still make thousands... if not millions.)
For example: if in the ID proof.. the father's name is Mohan lal.. then in the CAF too.. it has to be the same.
If by error one fills Mohanlal (without a space), then system might treat it as a mismatch in the details filled.
Biometric failing or face ID (face photo) failing too happens at times.
Refunds are the Achille's heels when it comes to Jio platforms.
Let me share my experience too. I booked jiofiber after checking availability with there customer care but 2 days later got call from local office only jioAirfiber is available & I have to take that only else they will take cancellation request. Got no refund even after 3 complaints.
Finally file a complaint on customer grievances 3days later got call from Mumbai office that they have taken this exception & will need multiple levels of escalation for refunds & it will take 20-25days to reflect in my account and requested to be patient.
They close the complaint & been 4months no refunds.
So agree on the part most dubious company. worst customer service.
@Banana_Republic - Mismatch - was the bsnl sim on a different owner name than what you submitted to jio?
Did you get the refund by any chance?
Neither TRAI, nor the existing operator share the sensitive KYC details or the legal name of the customer.. with the competitors, other operator in whom one is porting in.
