Bill cycle is 1 month period.
No idea about unlimited 5g.
I think can be converted to postpaid at home but will not work in j&k.
Can be converted to prepaid without any issue.
Recharge amount will be forfeited if converted to postpaid. Wait for recharge to end.

Hi,
Can anyone please explain about this plan if they are already using postpaid.
Billing Cycle means 1 month period or 28 days?
Basically we have 3 SIMs in family. So there will be 2 add ons.
It will cost me 399+99*2 = 597+18% GST = 704.46 rs.
Which will be then ₹234.82 for each member which is even cheaper then 249 rs 1GB/Day for 28 days. With out unlimited 5g.
These postpaid plans are giving unlimited 5g. Will it be for all 3 subscribers or just 1 person can avail unlimited 5g.
So right now, it's looking cheaper then prepaid. Are there any hidden charges. Also, 75GB family data is sufficient for my family. We generally don't use more then 30-40 GB combined.
Is there any such plan in airtel as well with unlimited 5g?
We all have Jio SIMs right now already. Can it be easily converted in postpaid from the comfort of the home or I will have to visit the Jio store with all the 3 SIMs or 1 primary SIM.
Also, can postpaid be easily converted back into prepaid in future or there will be some issue.
One last question: SIMs have been already recharged for coming 80 days. Can Jio somehow manage it/ adjust it in postpaid bill or I will have to wait for the plans to expire to convert SIMs into postpaid without loosing any money.

Ask customer care if they will give 5G on extra sim or no
* 75Gb plus addtional 5Gb for each each SIM
* Unlimited 5G for all members until its free
* No jio premium
1.There is no migration charges. However, charges will be applicable for annual prime membership of ₹ 99 and prepaid recharge amount if you are changing to prepaid and ₹ 99 + Security Deposit if you are changing to postpaid.
2. If you have migrated before 11th Sept 2023, then only Top Up Balance used to get carried forward as Adjustments in the Postpaid account. Any 'Active or Queued Plan/Data Add On/Vouchers/Coupons' if any will be forfeited.
3. If you initiate Migration (On or After 11th September 2023: From Prepaid to Postpaid (Via Selfcare: My Jio App/Jio.com or via POS), then the following recharge types (Top Up Balance (Monetary Balance)/Active Recharge Plans/Queued Recharge Plans/Data Packs with Validity4G Data Packs (which runs on the validity of the Active Plan)/ISD Packs/IR Packs/In-Flight/IR Wi-Fi Calling) in the Prepaid account, will be converted as Monetary balance and will be credited in the Postpaid account (Post Migration). This (converted Monetary balance) will reflect as an “Adjustment” in the Postpaid Invoice. Voucher (unredeemed/transferred/Promotional) gets forfeited.
4. Prepaid to Postpaid or Postpaid to Prepaid migration is only applicable within the home state.
5. Your connection will be activated within 24-48 hours.(For J&K, connection will be activated within 10 working days.)

Could you please share the source of this information as well. Also, Do they have any sales team or something like that who could share the exact break up for money that will be carry forwarded. I have queued total 4 - 4 recharges in 2 numbers and in 1 phone number current plan will expire after 54 days. So, I am willing to know how much they will give as initial funds to me. Is there any way I could know this before converting to postpaid.
I am using same JIO 399 plan with 3 addon sim for family members, total 4 sim. I usually get 820 Rs bill for whole connection.
1. 1 bill cycle = 30 or 31 or 28 days. They calculate it on month basis (not day). My bill duration is 23 of curent month to 22 of next month and then i get 7-8 days grace period for bill payment.
2. All sim will share internet from main quota and have unlimited 5G internet.
3. No hidden charges. Jio is fairest among all telecom company when it comes to hidden charges.
4. Add on sims can be converted with just an OTP, for main sim i am not sure because i ported from airtel postpaid. You should try to change to postpaid though myjio app.
5. Airtel also have unlimited 5G plan but they are more expensive than JIo. I was not getting unlimited 5G benefit even though plan was activated on my number. Data was being consumed from total data pool.
6. I am not sure about postpaid to prepaid conversion, i do not see any need to do that and so did not do any inquiry regarding same.
7. Edited. Also you will get 1 month free (i got that when i ported from airtel postpaid to jio postpaid).
8. You can add 3 add on with Jio 399 plan which makes it total 4 sim under single plan.
5. You are not getting unlimited 5g benefit in Jio SIM? Have you tried contacting customer support regarding this? Does your area has strong 5g signal or it just fluctuates very frequently b/w 4g and 5g? Have you tried putting your SIM in some other phone, is this happening with all the 4 SIMs or just yours.
Already answered by experienced users. Just want to add my 2cents.
* Jio Prepaid to postpaid adds the remaining days on pro rata basis as postpaid balance. Even though jio store guys will say otherwise, I have got this few months back when I switched. Any prepaid remaining balance will be added over too.
* Unlimited 5g works seamlessly on all main+addon sims if they have 5G supported devices
* postpaid nos can be recharged with any amount. Which means I can Topup with 2*500 @ 20% rupay discount from amazon. So my bills are 20% discounted every month.
* prepaid to postpaid switch can be easily done from MyJio app. However for the vice versa you will have to visit a jio store, but it’s just few mins time there.
The best part is, one doesn’t even need a new sim for all these switches, existing jio sim is fine.
Just have doubt regarding plan adjustment.
I am currently on 155 rs plan. 10 days have already passed, 18 days are remaining. So, how it will be calculated as per your experience.
155/28*18 = 99.64 rs will be converted into postpaid balance or they calculate it in some other way?
Also, I think first I will have to convert my primary number into postpaid, then I might get option to add additional numbers. So, as I soon as I will add additional numbers, I think their queued plans and current plan will also get converted and added into primary accounts postpaid balance. Am I right?
One last doubt.
I hadn't closely observed the postpaid price increase if any happened on 3rd july. I had mainly focused on prepaid only. So, has Jio already increased the prices for postpaid as well? What am I seeing on their website are the new prices or old? All I really want is that I don't want that I converted into postpaid and then within 6 months, they increased the prices for postpaid.
What are the chances that price will remain as it as for at least a year.
@Stone_man
What are the chances that price will remain as it as for at least a year.
If you are doing for the price protection, chances are that prepaid will always remain cheaper than postpaid plans. So don't bother.
However if you have 4 users who need good amount of data, then equivalent plans in prepaid will be higher, even if postpaid plans are hiked.
I have Jio 399 with 2 child SIM. 1 child sIM is used in wifi router (MR600). SIMs in 5G handsets get unlimited 5G. Data is 75 GB + 5 GB per added SIM i.e. total 85 GB for 3 SIM, shared between all SIM, no data rollover benefit. Billing is on the basis of Calendar mth, i.e. same date every mth, not no of days.
For 3 SIMs bill comes to 704.46. Will Amz Rupay offer, it becomes effectively about 564/mth i.e. 174/SIM/28 days. If 1+3 SIM are used, it would become 152/SIM/28 days (assuming you have multiple Rupay DC)
* 75Gb plus addtional 5Gb for each each SIM
* Unlimited 5G for all members until its free
* No jio premium
