So, is this fake news.
I was worried a lot.
I saw multiple videos on youtube and people around warning me and the roadside MNP Guy scared me. I googled and found plenty of websites with the same copy paste News. To save pennies, using multiple sims and getting fined of 50,000 made me worried.
It's difficult to handle and afford 1 SIM, Why a common man worry about something like this 😂😂
Anyways, It's upto Rs. 50,000.
Its actually possible because in families SIMs are in name of one member. Although 9 sims is high but definitely 5-6 on one name are common

More than 9 cards will not be issue from the date of news law come into effect.
It will not cause any harm of people who have more sims before this law came into effect.

A new law has been approved after the date of this tweet. This law gave effect to some older rules which impose a limit of 9 sim cards per person.
So yeah. This isnt fake news, but what i think is that govt wont actively pursue imposing this penalty . Their main focus is on illegally obtained SIMs.
