Yes, Go to the branch and get a good agent and tell him you want this exactly, He will ask for 1 lakh initial deposit.

However doing this just for 0 MAB might not be beneficial, Because this way most probably a real RM will be assigned, And you might have a risk of a downgraded account if you don't maintain 1 lakh for a longer period of time.

Instead open a normal account, then keep 1 lakh for a month or so, keep checking offers in netbanking and you'll find upgrade to classic banking.

You will be redirected to the HDFC website to confirm, accept and then you will get classic banking without any RM, variant will be shown as VIRTUAL CLASSIC. Exactly the same as classic but online.

This way you can keep even 10 rs in account without risk of downgrading to normal.

I maintain Preferred just like this.
