Freelance work is always available in the field
one is in.
Various brands or their sellers hire various agencies or syndicates to build credibility with digital marketing strategies, tactics.
One can look for such things, while staying clear of the shallow end of the pool.
(I mean, look BEYOND the low value-add work like putting dubious reviews, fake ratings. And instead look for more concentrated activities.)
Maybe the buzz has gone down a bit,
ever since the (Covid-19) pandemic has tapered off.
But still, e-learning and EdTech are going strong and here to stay.
If one can upskill a bit, then one can get even the middle layer, top layer work.. in this field
else, be it freelance assignments or almost regular work..
(BYJU's type) basic teaching work is always there.
I know of people (westerners) who are proficient in their local dialects and are reasonably good in foreign languages.
Some have made it a career to take corporate sessions for companies who have to send people to China, India, Nihon and so on.
Workshops on cultural assimilat8on, language and so on.
Even basic assignments on language teaching or translations are available, but some require long term relations first.
Those (content creators) who are devoting good time, other resources for streaming platforms (Curiosity Stream, Patreon etcetera)
do have ongoing translation work, script writing work, research to do.
Some of these though, only fructify if the relationship with the media manager/agency, brand or the creator is a strong one.
Although instead of remaining 'unemployed', one can always take the first step.. and even customer service jobs are no sin.
(Unlike body shops that require one to work 100 hours, 120 hours like drone bees, worker ants serving the queen,
there ARE decent corporate jobs with the usual 8 hours 9 hours shifts too.)
Although I will still HEAVILY weigh in on domain knowledge expertise.
More than twenty years back, this guy who used to be at Nhava (Nhava Sheva seaport) getting the export cargo of his company/ employer cleared..
today has his own agency.. helping smaller businesses with less or no knowledge of customs clearances, LC (letter of credit), bank loans, foreign trade.. to setup exports.
No formal education in the field.
But even 20 years back, his then employer trusted him enough to stuff his pockets with 15-20000 rupees.
Infact even more daily bribes had to be given to the customs people, fumigation agents and forklift operators and others .. if there was big cargo and short timelines/ deadlines to be met.
Even twenty years back he joked and laughed at us, that what did formal education get you? Look at me, I hardly finished graduation and every time there is a large consignment to be shipped and time is critical, my boss (the owner of the company) sends me here (to the port).. with wads of cash.
(He was honest to the employer. He meticulously kept good relations with the port officials and only used the cash for bribes. Did not siphon the money.)
My point is/was.. that if you can learn a bit of Mandarin, Cantonese and build some contacts in Macau, Hongkong type places..
then simply by helping exporters, importers with local (Indian) and Chinese documentation alone could turn into a steady, sufficient income source.
It would be a great idea to stay clear of fads, scams though.
(Remember how during the pandemic.. everyone went bananas about non-fungible tokens. If not a scam, it sure seemed like a fad.
Pyramid schemes, multilevel marketing are obvious scams.)

The best way to earn is to give online and offline tuition to students.

But someone was saying that becoming 'Jitendra Kumar' is simple, quicker.
He is successful after-all. Proven track record, self-employedand not dependent on others... and someone or the other can be found.. to pay up.
