I have a Pixel 6a with a broken screen. I purchased it for 24k last year in July. It dropped from my hand and screen does not display anything now. I visited the service center which are 3rd party and authourized by Google. They are taking ₹850 as diagnosis charge which is just to determine the problem in phone. This 850 charge is non refundable and taken by the service center. Additionally the display will be costing ₹8000 and repair charges will be around ₹1000. So the total cost of screen repair will be around ₹10,000 from service center. I checked my local market also but the display for pixel 6a is not available anywhere. Additionally I had some important data in my phone(specially photos which were not backed up) but the service center is saying that all the data will be lost after repair as they will tune the display with motherboard.
So is it worth it to spend 10k for repair and after that data from my phone will also be lost?
Pro tip: Never buy a pixel phone in future, there are service center which are just collection center. They will collect your phone and send it to the main service center for repair and you will get your phone back at least after 10 days.

Even after repair, it will not be value for money. Better exchange or look for faulty 6a phones with screen working and buy for some 5k etc, if you have that option.
You can buy new device after adding some money why spending so much if data will be lost.
For recovering lost data, you may try to enable screen mirroring with help of OTG keyboard mouse.
Try to perform all these steps in working 6A and mimic these steps in your broken 6A.
Are you able to unlock device using facelock??
Screen has turned black and non responsive, usb debugging is also not enabled so I can't mirror screen.
I opened this thread to say "No, not worth it" but seeing how you bought it in July last year I suggest go ahead.
It isn't just a Pixel problem. Any Samsung S series display will also cost more than that. And let us not even talk about Apple displays! I do find their claim of data loss highly suspect though. I went through a S22 Ultra free display replacement (due to discolouration) and there was no data loss.
Samsung M and A series displays are cheaper though. A family member had her Samsung A30s display replaced for around Rs 4000 or so.
If it were me in this scenario and too attached to the device.. I would have tried to purchased THE SAME model.. in the second hand market or from whoever was selling it and cannibalise it for parts.
Then sold/scrapped the remaining.
Of-course it would need to be the original screen though even in such a second-hand device.
But one has to take their own call if the data would justify the efforts and costs.
Pixel 6a is gem phone , best camera n machine inside...plz go ahead n repair ... Using from launch
There is a very low chance of this, but keep checking olx if someone is selling his dead pixel 6a for pennies. Or maybe post on OLX you need this kind of phone... And go to the local shop to get it replaced.
keep it and send it for exchange to any US wala frnd, would get 100-300 easily 😀
Today itself I suggested someone not to buy a pixel just for this reason.
Depending on the condition you might get it repaired & if condition is good you might get a better exchange value with any other phone.
