This weather station reported 52.9 degree Celsius today, the highest ever in India.

At one or in-fact two stations where they have an observatory.. at around 14:30 on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 it recorded such numbers
but otherwise on the preceding day 47°-48° centigrade was the highest.
Delhi is loosely used to describe everything in even a 50 kilometre radius. Most of Delhi had under 45° celsius on Wednesday.
And even the peaks are there only for few minutes or an hour or so.
Temperatures remain lesser till noon and past 1630-1700 hours.

delhi had a accumulated heat effect. I was there on 27th and 28th. On 28th auto to metro (to airport) at 9pm it was like furnace. That way hyderabad though it gets hot because of rock gets cooler in the night as 550metre elevation above sea level.
