Happy dhanteras to all, I just wanted people opinions if it's okay to buy gold or silver coins from instamart etc as u can apply cards discounts on it too. And also which ones do people usually buy? Malabar coins or muthoot etc. Because by card discounts we can get around 100-200rs off too. Do people usually buy these thing from quick commerce or prefer offline, and are the rates similar?

Bangalore Refinery or old names, which are directly involved in mining, refining are preferred by me.. as opposed to promoter driven, family managed ones.
Even the biggest names on the family managed or promoter driven chains
still used smuggled gold (tax evasion on gold brought in the country, is smuggling).

why should me as an end user care about this? salaried class should be selfish and do what is best for them

If it's from reputed brands than no problem like muthoot, banglore refinery, Malabar etc.

offline, GST component gets added so the price (i believe) would likely be higher (unless u trust the jeweler enough to do a all-cash deal)
