Inverter technology in appliances. Useful OR Useless expensive.

Only for high consumption appliances like AC, this tech "may" be useful if the appliance run time is higher than a specific amount.
Inverter technology appliances are complex and more prone to damage. They are expensive to buy and to repair also. Inverter appliances have lesser life span than normal ones.
But for Washing machines and Refrigerators it is quite a loss making deal for consumers. Even for consumers with less usage ACs, it is loss making.
Still people go crazy over this "inverter" thing. And brands keep minting money.
People who don't want this tech are now left with almost no options.

That's invertor or generator?
Stabilizer free appliances are useful.
Dont know about inverter technology appliances.
Yeah stabilizer free is good. But inverter technology is a debated matter whether it is good for consumer or for manufactures.
invertor product is mostly less wattage / electricity in consumption so its not a bad tech even if you dont have inverter:) hence why it not been bothered by many consumers as it drawn less power:)
so win win for all:)
you are worrying too much:)
I am worried because I am not finding variety and good deals on non-inverter model AC and double door refrigerator.
All models are inverters.
My neighbour had to spend 17k on 3 year old inverter AC for repair. The cost of such new AC is 30k
Inverter technology based Appliances consume less power than non inverter appliances or products.
Refrigerators/AC's:
Non- inverter - Compressor runs on a 'fixed' speed. It either turns 'ON' when the temp. goes above required/set temp. or turns 'OFF' once the required/set temp. is reached. It draws the same amount of 'power' every time it turns 'ON' which increases power consumption.
While a Inverter compressor does not turn OFF. It draws more power when its turned 'ON' the first time and then the 'variable' speed compressor runs and consumes relatively low power to maintain the required/set temp.
So inverter technology does make sense in Refrigerator's and AC's.
Washing Machines use this technology to adjust the the motor speed depending on load or laundry weight hence saving on power. These washing machines do come with sensors which help determine the load.
I researched inverter technology some 5 years back when I wanted to buy a Washing Machine, Refrigerator and AC's.
Both the Refrigerator's compressor and Washing Machines motor came with 10 years warranty which speaks to the robustness of the technology.
Energy savings are just negligible for Refrigerator and Washing machines. Compared to the higher initial cost, complex machines, higher repair cost and the fact that local mechanics/generic parts never fit.
For AC the savings become actual only if we run them a lot.
Warranty is for compressor and motor only. Not for PCB and Driving circuits. These inverter machines cost a bomb when they go faulty.
they need this type of inverter 😝
