The rate at which people are breaking their FDs to invest in MFs, banks will be left with no choice but to increase the interest rates 😄

Yes. Equitas SFB sent a note about reduction (less 0.25%) in deposit rates. No change for senior citizens

it will take another 3 or 6 months before it reflects here in India:)
1) RBI has to cut REPO RATE first which might take some time
2) after that interest rate cut will happen in FD with a lag around another 3 months IN ADDITION TO RBI TAKEN TIME, around 0.25 ot 0.5% max to max which is tough too
3) finally loan interest rate will decrease after another 6 months
because FD rate and loan interest rate is not enforced by RBI, EVERY bank decides internally both FD and loan rate BASED ON SUPPLY DEMAND
repo rate wont have immediate effect
so lets wait another 6 months before something fruitful happens
only stock market might have drastic changes NOT DEBT MARKET
my personal opinion
