Hey Techies, What are your views about INFINIX NOTE 40 5G (8+256) ?? How is it ??
1)How is it @ 16000 ??
2)Is it worth @ 13000 ??
3) If not 1&2 then What is it's Overall Fair Value according to you ??
4)What are some Pros and Cons you are seeing in it at first view ??
- Sort By
Not worth it (in my opinion). Unreliable after-sale service.
Worth considering - Moto G54 (12/256), iQOO Z9X - CMF Phone 1 under at 13.5K or lesser (expandable up to 2TB) would be nice too if you already have a Nothing Phone charger at home
What if this (Infinix) Model does not need after sale service as a fair user of smartphones (As until today, in my home not a single smartphone required to visit service center in their life time except One or two times AFAIR atleast in Warranty period of One Year). ??
Since as i think, If anyone doesn't required to visit service center for any smartphones (even any electronics) within its warranty period of 1 year then it is a good smartphone and the user of it, using and handling it fairly. (These are just my views).
Or, This model has a history of frequent service center visit which i am unaware of ?? I think you got what i mean.
Also please answer my query 3) & 4) of Original Post If you can ??
Thanks.
Why Bhai ??
Please answer my query 3 & 4 of Original Post.
Thanks
A Void as others suggested
i would suggest real me gt series instead of infinix if you can extend your budget
my personal opinion
and moto series after seeing performance comparison with other phones in youtube , moto is not worth it as well (the price of moto might sound cheap and so do the performance is lesser compared to its peers)
@Vrushali.S @LIMBO @DEEPANGEORGE
For a while ignore Price Point.
Now can you please do a quick comparison of TECNO POVA 5 PRO 5G(8+256) vs INFINIX NOTE 40 5G(8+256) ??
check on one of online comparison and you might find what you are looking for
at the end of the day its PERSONAL CHOICE, CHOOSE WHAT YOU LIKE THE MOST
Don't buy. After sales service is worst for infinix. Also u don't get the parts in aftermarket. For example if display breaks for realme or samsung if service centre is charging 10k u can easily get display at 4k in local repair shops. But for infinix parts will not be available so avoid
i also saw infinix and techno with good discount & exchange offers, but after much Time Waste (reading reviews) most have battery problem or sudden disturbance, so gone with realme. you can go with iqoo, vivo or moto at same price. Lava may also be good (clean software )
you may not notice any performance related issues but after 3 months battery starts dying. So, not value for money.
See i never think Battery problem is caused by Manufacturing Issue. It's mostly depends upon the user of smartphone using it Except some Models (like two persons have same smartphone, one have battery draining issue, other dont). I also have a some year old entry level mobile for which reviews was - Don't buy it charging time is more than 7-8 hrs. And battery draining fast. Still i bought that. And till now it's not taking more than 6hrs For 0 to 100. First Charge 0 to 100 took - 4hrs. Max. And Still battery backup is 6-9 hrs. On continuous chrome browsing. So Yeah according to me it's mostly depends upon how user uses and handles it.
BTW Tecno Exchange Offer - Are you talking about Tecno Pova 5 Pro 5G Deal ??
P.S. - It's my personal opinion. And i understand and respect your opinion too.
Finally I am Revealing what's the deal i am seeing in it.
On Monday when i was checking DD, i found a deal of INFINIX NOTE 40 5G(8+256) @ 13000 which was not attractive for anyone but When i checked it i found it also mentioned +2000 Exchange Bonus that got my attention.
I immediately opened the link and tried to check what it offers for a 3 Years Old Flawless condition Redmi 9 Power 4+64 available in my home and in currently use. Now i am coming to main point.
I am getting this INFINIX NOTE 40 5G(8+256) @ 8000 approx by Exchange with REDMI 9 POWER(4+64).
@Vrushali.S @DEEPANGEORGE @Total_Fun @TridentDG
Is it a good deal or normal deal since exchange bonus only comes with selected Models not with the models we desires to buy. ??
You should have mentioned this in your first post only and you would have got better answers considering price point.
Its official exchange bonus offer and not bug so there was no point in hiding this.
looks like it was impulse purchase.
if you really don't need better skip it. even with exchange offer not a spectacular deal. you can get cmf phone 1 at 13.5 during sales. or add 2k more get better devices.
Yeah I agree with you. But the reasons behind to grab it.
1) 8+256 5G + Triple Slot + Charger + Case + Tempered + many more @ 8000 . You will not get it at this Price.
2) The R9P which have zero dents, new look, flawless condition will not be intact. Say in some months. So more reduction in value.
3) I don't know i will get 5000(3000+2000) for R9P exchange deal in future or not.
So Ignore everything, Just consider
(4+64) > (8+256) + 4G > 5G + AMOLED @ 8000 i feel it's worth.
cc: @Total_Fun @LIMBO
these kinds of phones have chappri types os. see if custom rom can be installed in this or not
seems like you finally found your answer @jennyllwilliams ?:))) do consider sharing with us your own review post purchase.
It was delivered today noon. I thought this info might help you.
I might post pics.
I can confirm that Amazon pay ICICI card also working for the ICICI card offer on Flipkart.
Small doubt, while placing exchange order, flopkart asking 3 different fees.
1. Pick up charges
2. Packaging charges
3. Offer handling fees.
What if exchange gets cancelled due to flopkart exchange process, then flopkart will refund all those fees which are mentioned above.
If you are getting it at 13K go for it it but if you can extend you budget by 3K more get get for IQ Z9 or poco X6. You can expect android updates, from Infinix also Infinix, techno Itel these types of brands use sub standard type motherboard, UFS so may not last long atlas 3 years. I have repairer many techno, infinix phones the quality of motherboards are not up mark.
@DeciDeaim @DEEPANGEORGE @getready @guest_999 @HasdaChehra @kukdookoo @LIMBO @shraaj @Vrushali.S
@Vrushali.S is right
Bhai, Actually i am seeing a Deal in it and Want to crack it. That's the reason i am not asking for any other Model.
I am glad and very grateful that Dimers are providing various more good suggestions and want to help in every possible way but i am seeing that not a single person answered my simple queries of original Post. 😒 that's why i am not getting the answers and the discussion is going off track.
Now can you Please answer my simple queries of original Post if you are able to ??
Also For a while ignoring Price of both, TECNO POVA 5 PRO 5G(8+256) vs INFINIX NOTE 40 5G(8+256) which is better ??
Thanks in advance for your response.
Here’s an in-depth comparison between the Infinix Note 40 5G and Tecno Pova 5 Pro:
1. Display:
The Infinix Note 40 features a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen, offering vibrant colors and deep blacks, making it superior for media consumption.
The Tecno Pova 5 Pro has a 6.78-inch IPS LCD, which is decent but lacks the color richness and contrast of AMOLED displays.
2. Camera:
The Note 40 boasts a 108MP main camera, delivering detailed photos with better quality, especially in daylight.
The Pova 5 Pro has a 50MP main camera, which performs adequately in good light but lacks the detail and clarity of the Note 40 in larger images.
3. Charging:
The Tecno Pova 5 Pro supports 68W fast charging, which is significantly faster, reaching 50% in just 15 minutes.
The Infinix Note 40 charges at 33W, which is slower but still decent for everyday use, reaching 50% in 31 minutes.
4. Performance:
Both phones use similar chipsets with Dimensity 6080 (Pova 5 Pro) and Dimensity 7020 (Note 40), though the Note 40 has a slight edge in efficiency and multitasking performance.
Both have 8GB RAM versions, but the Note 40 offers up to 12GB RAM, which provides a better multitasking experience.
5. Battery:
Both devices have a 5000mAh battery, but the Pova 5 Pro charges much faster, which is ideal for heavy users who need a quick top-up.
Style and Design:
Infinix Note 40 5G has a sleek, modern design with a slim profile (7.9mm) and AMOLED display, making it visually appealing. Its body is made of plastic, and it has a premium look, with IP53 dust and splash resistance.
Tecno Pova 5 Pro has a more distinctive design with LED lighting on the back for notifications, games, and battery status. However, it’s bulkier (9mm thick) and heavier (212g), which may feel less comfortable for some users.
Overall, Infinix has the edge in a premium look, while Tecno is more unique and gaming-focused.
Verdict:
Infinix Note 40 5G is better for display quality (AMOLED) and camera performance (108MP).
Tecno Pova 5 Pro excels in charging speed (68W) and is more suitable for users who need quick battery top-ups.
See the specifications comparison:

Techno pova 5 pro review: https://m.gsmarena.com/tecno_pova_5_pro-review-...
https://www.indiatoday.in/technology/reviews/st...
PS: There no way to judge a phone unless I know the criteria or requirements. If you want a fancy premium design then curved screen is a positive feature, but if you want longevity and consider:
• how hard and expensive it is to find curved screen protector or these screens
• curved screen displays are more likely to break if phone falls on hard surface.
• Cracked glass on curved screen are lot harder and more expensive to repair
Then same curved screen feature becomes a negative.
@LIMBO What are your views now. ?? Is Exchange with Redmi 9 Power is a good Exchange or Bad. ??
Actually I already have Tecno Pova 5 Pro 5G(8+256) in my home. And after doing my research i am finding it better than Infinix Note 40 5G(8+256).
Tecno (D6080) vs Infinix (D7020) - The comparison winner is although D7020 but i am seeing something after detailed comparison of both processor that is resisting me to say Infinix(D7020) is better. Can you do a recheck of comparison of D6080 vs D7020 for me. ??
And yeah i also compared SD695 as you commented in this thread with both other SoCs and found that SD is plus in all.
Thanks

Yes you can go ahead with the exchange. Compared to the R9P the Infinix will be a big upgrade in every aspect barring custom ROMs. The only reservation being that the reportedly poor aftersales service can be problematic in the event the infamous green line issue crops up after 2-3 years
