Important Announcement - Closure of the Political Forum

As we mentioned last time Here, that we were temporary closing political section. After careful consideration and evaluation, we have come to a decision that the political forum will be permanently closed. This decision was reached after thorough assessment and discussions regarding the forum's purpose and its impact on the overall community environment
We understand that some of you may have been passionate contributors to this section, and we want to acknowledge the valuable insights and discussions that have taken place over time. However, recent challenges and the need to foster a harmonious environment across the rest of our community have led us to make this tough decision.If you have been an active participant in the "Political" forum section, we encourage you to continue sharing your perspectives and insights in the other available sections. Your contributions have enriched our community, and we believe that your voice will continue to add value to the ongoing conversations.

Personally I think it's a good decision this community is not meant for that and forum's should relate to that only I mean we got other places to do that it's happening everywhere so let's leave this one 😬
It would be interesting to see what's considered "political" by the mods and how they tackle oblique references/innuendos.

Since you've talked about impact on the overall community environment and harmonious environment, how about bringing back the good old theme(pagination)? Or, at least, add section filtering in Recent Posts page.

DD was created meant Shopping-Offers/deals etc. and not for Political discussion forum.
Like there is General News channel and Business news channel, they work as per their audience and not mixing up.

It's evident that sometimes discussions in political topics can become heated and divisive, and unfortunately, a small minority of individuals with extreme views have caused disruptions. These disruptions may include spreading misinformation, engaging in personal attacks, or promoting hate speech, which can create a toxic atmosphere for productive conversations. It's disheartening to see that some neutral participants have been unfairly affected by the actions of polarized individuals, including those with extreme religious views, who might resort to aggressive tactics. By removing the Political section, the forum aims to protect its positive atmosphere and prevent any further attempts to derail meaningful discussions with disrespectful or offensive behavior, regardless of the religious or political affiliations involved. Let's use this opportunity to move forward, leaving behind any negative experiences, and create a space where all members can freely express their ideas in a respectful and constructive manner.

Right decision, as I was always worried to go to that forum because of some obvious reasons...Whenever I used to enter that forum, I was like.....................
Political section attracts traffic and keeps users engaged. Now elections are near & every other political thread can be hot deal.
Dimers like to voice their opinions and engage in debates. People should be aware about political issues.
Instead of removing it, allow open discussion.
For example; once a topic is created by someome, Allow comments for 15 days. Autolock the topic at the end of 15th day. Delete the topic after 30 days of creation.
