1) Open iMobile App-> Open ipal chat-> in ipal chat type "contact support"
2) Click on contact us-> Select savings account-> Click on email us
3 Under the type of complaint select "Debit card/cheque book not received"
4) In the type of query box put "issue me a Rupay debit card"
5) Within 24 hours ICICI will call you up and say that they have stopped issuing rupay cards.
6) Insist on Rupay debit card and say that if you'll have stopped, please send me an email because I want to forward it to rbi ombudsman and NPCI. If they still don't agree ask them to escalate to their manager.
7) Customer support will then agree and issue you a rupay card.
Note: ICICI has only one type of rupay card, by default you will get a platinum card

Called them today to issue rupay debit card
They issued it without any questions

@abhishek012 is this trick still working and I hope it is still free for salary account holders. Also, some one mentioned that BIN is not working on amazon is it true or was that just an issue in 2022
I never face any problem.
Always untick save card option on Amazon and click on "delete my card" option when you transaction and use Amazon desktop website. That's it.
ICICI Salary account - Lifetime Free.
Call ICICI customer care and ask RuPay debit card (you will get by default Platinum variant RuPay).
They will told you RuPay is banned in India, RuPay card is not issue in India, E-com not supported, 10k monthly limit etc, ignore everything, all are wrong info and force them to issue you RuPay card).
Note - now a days, 90% times ICICI issue RuPay card without any question. If they still denied then cut the call and talk to any other ICICI support team.
Does anyone knows any trick for HDFC Rupay cards?
Icici dont have much offers except rupay offers. Also some known technical issue with amazon friday offer. On the other side AU and Kotak having offers beside rupay offers.
Which one is best between Au and kotak812. Having Au (without debit card) and kotak(already having virtual visa)? Share your expertise.

You apply ICICI RuPay Platinum DC in April month ? your physical card is contactless or non-contactless variant ?
Today called customer care executive and after verifying my account she said that my account has been closed..!! 😂 Looks like she was in hurry to go home as i called in night 8 PM. 😬
I told them that i transact just few days ago how should be it closed.? got answer that it was from branch. we dont have that information go and visit branch. 😂
Will again followup tomorrow morning.
Does anyone have ICICI Wealth account? Do they take charges for RuPay Platinum on this account? Their Wealth DC is free for this account and its only benefit is Lounge access but I would rather take RuPay Platinum if it was not chargeable
Make sure the benefits you are expected to receive from this card are greater than the costs associated with Wealth account.
