icici rupay platinum debit card

Recently opened icici digital account.. they issued visa debit card, called customer care to issue rupay platinum debit card, they are stating below fees.. is it correct .. ?

Joining fee 599
Annual fee 599

Similarly.. Axis is asking for 899 joining and 899 annual fees for their rupay variant debit card...

Can anyone pls suggest .. some other free rupay platinum debit card with free zero balnce account ...

I got my icici rupay debit card just few months ago, charges were 150+gst. I don't think they can hike its fee straight to 599, may be some idiot customer care executive misinformed you.

rupay platinum debit card fees is 236/- (inclucive of GST) across all banks.
they are tricking you into buying some other variant of the rupay card
just ask them to provide the 236/- one
or they are simply not having this version of rupay platinum card for your bank account

as far as I know Axis provides Rupay Platinum Debit Card for Salaried Account only

Go with AU Bank digital account.

Annual fees is 200+GST. You will get both AU and Rupay platinum benefits. I was thinking of closing it, but the value it provides exceeds the annual fees. Plus, it is a zero balance account.
