I think there calculation is wrong if 2 reward points on ₹100 spent calculation mist be Amount spent/100 *2 .In your case 11448/100 *2 =228.96 means 229 point.

So I recently received ICICI coral rupay credit card and i understand that it should be 2 reward points for Rs 100 spent but I received a only 70 reward points for approx 14000 spent on my credit card. I asked customer care to explain about this and they gave a very absurd explaination.

Did you transact on flipkart? If yes, is merchant name showing Paytm?
If yes, then this can be issue.

Yes it is Flipkart transaction but it's showing Paytm in the bill, but i don't think it should be problem as this should also come under non fuel transaction.

@Stardimmer is right, saved me the trouble of typing.
The bank staff apparently didn't pay enough attention during maths at school.
One more division after denominator is supposed to be multiplied with the numerator. Bank idiots divided the denominator itself! What a bunch!
How did this happen? Aren't reward points automatically calculated by the system? Unless someone thought the system had made a mistake, and did that "brilliant" calculation and manually corrected it, if so who would go through that kind of trouble?

Ok, So same thing happened to me when I got the card.
I was getting 1RP for every 200 spend. Which seems to be what you are having (14000/200 = 70).
Here is what I did.
Tweeted this on 13 Aug.
Got a call on 28 Aug where they told me that as the card was Linked to Platinum rewards credit card it was taking reward rates based on that. They raised the request to update the card rewards.
I started getting correct rewards from next week and all pending rewards were credited back to my account in next billing cycle.
This is the email I got from them ----

We write with reference to your concern regarding your ICICI Bank Credit Card .
Further to our telephonic conversation dated August 28, 2023 on your registered mobile number XXXXXX78xx, we inform you that, as per revert received from concerned team, for UPI transactions you will receive remaining reward points as per Credit Card features in next month billing cycle.
Also, we inform you that, we have initiated a request for reward points profile change through Service Request number XXfor Coral Rupay Credit Card and it will be processed within 1 working day.

Today I got a call from the same customer care executive who wrote email to me and she has confirmed that my reward points will be updated with in 7 days. Let's wait for updation.

Wait for 7 days before doing any more transactions just to be safe, pending one will also get credited by next billing cycle.

I am still struggling with the reward points updation, wrote 5-6 times different emails and generated SR (service request) also but all in vain. Can some one help me to escalate this issue? Currently I am writing to customer care email which is not helping in this case.
