Hi,
Recently icici bank charged me 4523.46Rs as auto debit reverse fees even though payment was cleared. They said 6299Rs refund from flipkart was not considered and hence 2% of the fees were charged. What about my payment of 220049Rs. so i should be charged for 6299rs x 2%. 126+GST. they charged me in full. howz that possible ? Where should i compaint ? other than icici bank for reversal ?

Didn't RBI issue statement that refunds are accepted as payment? He can go to RBI ombudsman in that case.
Point 10e in this
Dont ever enable auto pay. Better pay by urself .calculate and pay sinplr
True, i pay myself everytime, i was unaware that auto pay was enabled.
One time happen with me also (hdfc bank) even though i paid full amount last day.
auto debit favors bank only not customer; hidden meaning of auto-debit = no manual payment
While I agree with everyone that it is best to pay manually around a week before the due date, I strongly disagree about never enabling auto-debit. I enable auto-debit for the full dues on every credit card I have and I recommend everyone to do the same. You or your loved one may have an emergency in which case you may forget or be unable to make the manual payments. Auto-debit on the full dues will save you from the interest charges. Auto-debit will do nothing if you have already paid your dues in full and they have got posted to your CC.
I once made the mistake of not paying a couple of thousand rupees on a CC bill of over 2 lakhs and was charged interest on the entire CC bill. I called up customer care and they reversed a part of the interest even though it was a premium card (Infinia). I learnt an expensive lesson that day.
Happened to me too, had an outstanding of 1.2 Lakhs, had paid around 1.05 Lakhs, mistakenly left 15k, not deliberately. They charged fees and interest on entire amount.
Emailed senior management, they reversed, with a warning.
Finally after Raising a complaint to RBI Ombudsman, ICICI Reversed charges. But they still don't consider refund as payment even after showing RBI rules 10 (e).
refunds are not considered as payments. if the full due amount is not paid, interest is calculated on the entire amount.
Plan of action: Request for reversal and tell them that it is your first missed payment. If they don't agree, learn your mistake and moveon.
You want to move to a consumer court? .. go on, it will be rejected as you have already accepted their TNC that interest will be calculated on the full due amount if the full amount is not paid.
