I am only aware of A.VO.ID letting the ownership change to 'blood relative', if in case of the customer being no more.
In which case, the operators require the death certificate.
I even probed them that what if one has only their spouse and no 'blood relative', but neither of the three (A.Vo.Id) ever came up with a definitive reply.

Yes, the UP code can be used by 'anyone' who gets it.
Thus it is that much more important to not let the Unique Porting Code fall in the wrong hands.

Just tell the airtel guy to port into airtel, and give your aadhaar or any govt. id
Don't ask anything about ownership transfer otherwise he may charge(no charges are there)

Simply port. And the new sim will be in your name.
No need to do anything like ownership transfer.

Port to postpaid. They will likely do. That's how it was done in the past.

in airtel its possible to change KYC with offline documents by visiting airtel office (visit airtel office just in case to confirm this before hand now itself before porting, as i did this years back no sure its working now)
so first change from jio father to airtel father
then try this in airtel offline visit
