lol someone requested money from you.. Its bank to bank transfer.. If you dont know what it is about dont approve it, you can also decline and ban the user.. Most everything we pay with NEFT etc can now be done by UPI including paying for Uber which comes like this after a ride to request payment.. This looks like someone was able to link your phonePE id to buyign things on paytm..

They have definitely cracked your phonePE account.

Definitely complain to phonePE support..

I think someone created a UPI handle Paytm.ecom. I don’t think they have cracked As we know everyone can create their own UPI handle. So pple are creating UPI handles in the name of e-commerce sites Paytm, Amazon & requesting money to random users thinking they will approve. We have to decline as u said. But unfortunately many innocent ppl doesn’t know what’s request money in UPI ecosystem

There is no hacking involved here

Someone has entered your phonepe upi id on paytm payment page in UPI option (maybe typed incorrect)

It’s just like a person requesting money from you

You are Right this is looking very straight in first look but my phonepe Upi id is very unique no one can enter it by doing guess or misstyped.thats why iam scared and heard here on DD about phonepe wallet hacked in recent time some unauthorized transactions had done. So find it veryr fishy related to my account so posted here for safer side i had deregistered old upi and removed all bank accounts from Phonepe.
There is someeone from there end or there is some loophole to get access in account but cant have access to upi pin becoz that is at banks end. so its responsibility of phone pe to look into this , I simple unauthorized the transaction and can ignore this but shared it on DD to alert others. and having some inputs from them on this

WTF, someone is trying to reset my PayTM password.. As you know with PayTM, if you forget password you have to call a number with the SIM of the PayTM registered account. The thing is, That same SIM will get an SMS with a link to reset the password so unless you have access to the same phone you dialed with, doing this is pointless.. it also looks like payTM has removed the break between sections in its app as it do not go between web and app to change sections..

PS.. The above rs30 money request is just a usual UPI request and means nothing.. Someone entered the wrong VPA? or done it on purpose hoping you would approve the request? Unless its a request from someone I just had a transaction with like after a Uber ride I do not approve or do anything about such requests.. It can be a mistake on someone part or it can be done deliberately like someone entering a UPI address for phone recharge payment.. You can block the request and user but I think in this case it will block Paytm.. Unless PhonePE is smart enough to block the requested party and not the transaction enabler.. Usually if it works then it was because of the transaction enabler but if it fails then they had nothing to do with anything other than being an interface between your bank and the customers..

So it must be a lot more common from people receiving payment requests like crank calls.
