Fake transaction added in HDFC Credit Card Bill
So here goes the timeline.
On 31 Jul 2024 & 1 Aug 2024, I ordered 1 pair of lenskart glasses on each date. First was of Rs. 2000 & second of Rs. 800. Lenskart bills online transactions under the name of Dealkart.
Due to discomfort & fitting issues, I chose to return the first pair worth Rs. 2000 (31 Jul) & it was returned within a week & the refund was issued.
So I paid Rs. 2800, returned worth Rs. 2000 & final amount would be Rs. 800.
Here's a summary of transactions grouped together from both Jul & Aug bills:

Today I received the bill for August & was surprised to see that there's a charge of Rs. 2000 on 18 Aug 2024, which I didn't do.
- I was doubtful, so I thought a lot that I might be forgetting it.
- Checked emails, SMS. There's no OTP or transaction record for this one, only for the first 2.
- Check the only Lenskart account I have to see the orders. Nothing there, only the first 2.
- Apart from cashbacks/refunds, there's a timestamp (like 14:50:35, shown in link 2) along with the date on literally every debit transaction done in the bill except this one that I can't even remember doing.
For multiple reasons, I feel pretty confident that this charge has been added in error or something.
Just to add some info, there's another transaction from the previous bill worth Rs. 2449 that I have disputed & is currently under investigation. The bank has provisionally/temporarily refunded Rs. 2000 for that.
It's a random theory but feels as if bank tried to be sneaky by adding & taking back the temporary refund for the dispute that they gave, back to my bill to take the money back or something because it's the same, Rs. 2000

Been using a credit card for over 3 years but this is the first time I think this has happened.
Anyone got any similar experiences & how I should go forward with this?

This reminds me to check the statement thoroughly before paying!! Never checked the statement till now!!!
Same here, noticed yesterday only, a transaction of 30k twice in my bob Snapdeal statement. Actually done only once. Raised dispute via bobcard app.
