Once a year is mandatory as instructed by RBI..
Best is to keep some Small Autopay Bill on that card. Like low amount utility bill...
Most banks usually call and inquire about No Activity and try to offer suitable cards
Make a 1 rupee transaction once a year
bottom-line should using at least once a year but try to do some spend at least if not done straight for 5-6 months
Anyway to make a Rs 1 transaction on 10+ cc cards automatically once every year?
Not automatically
Not much Wallets or bill payments systems allow users to add or pay minimum 1/-
Those who allow to add or pay minimum 1/- won't allow to use Cc
Those who allow add & Pay 1/- & allow to use Cc as well but they won't allow free of cost as they charge minimum 2-3% fees
But I know a Deadly combo which allows
1 Re Min Amount + Allow to use Cc + 0% fees plus Gst
For doing a transaction to active a cc,
Top-up your mobile with credit card rs 10 through providers app
Just thinked and shared.
To ensure that your HDFC Bank credit card is not closed or converted from lifetime free to chargeable, it's recommended to use the card at least once a year. Normally, credit card providers won't close the account due to inactivity, but according to HDFC Bank's terms and conditions, if the card isn't used for 15 months, they may convert it to a chargeable card or close it. To avoid this, it's advisable to spend a small amount (around 10-15 Rs) on the card, just to be on the safer side.
It's important to note that not using the card won't affect your CIBIL score, as long as you are regularly and properly paying on your other credit cards.
Lastly, there is no specific timeline for using the card. Simply use it when you need to and make the payments on time.
