10% was the default discount, rather cashback (in the form of Apollo Health Credits, 100% redeemable in the next transaction) although one can always ask for an upfront discount AFAIK, since a long time but in the last few months I have received 15% credits even for small transactions worth a few hundred rupees. Maybe it's a benefit of the Apollo Circle membership? For some items it seems 10% discount isn't applicable upfront but 10% cashback in the form of HCs can be availed.
Edit: Medplus stores give flat 20% discount on buying stuff worth 1000 and above. Recently they have launched a paid subscription offering additional discounts.
