How do you track the tech gadgets and prices

Offlate the electronic market is flooded with so many models and variants that it will be difficult to remember when we really have requirement to buy or decide whether a deal is really worth the price.
Forget about good to have, even for home tech essentials like mobile or laptop it is becoming difficult to decide a price point and pros & cons before we take a buy decision, though our requirements are clear.
We have to wait atleast 1yr or buy and regret is very sad. Every year new models , new processors, but in real nothing would have improved since our last buy, sad but true
Every phone or laptop need atleast significant amount of time to research before buy decision is made.
I did flumble upon certain phone models with good reviews, dimers views and tracked them for good price and bought.
Now i regret that a very few of majority only comment about cons, but mostly everyone say good.
How do we overcome these bad decisions.
Dont say know your requirements, they are clear and crystal, but still ....

I have sam M51 which i researched and bought in 2021, now its time to replace and there are brands i believe in say samsung, xiomi from my past experiences. When i try to research each model in each brand has specs and reviews in favour.
Six months back i had to change xiomi 9 pro max so i researched and bought samsung m34 5g with all specs and thats disaster. If we go around look ppl say its good, but i know what it is, it is not defective product as certified by service center. Dont get 5g, wifi weak, phone heats up, battery drain. 😑 Almost 90% say its good phone 🤳, but not according to me. Price tracking is another challenge as we dont track or see models for almost 3yrs, then rely on reviews, our research ( could sometimes be flawed) and models keep changing unlees one tracks and in touch with latest.
I am not sure about others but its for me.
Why would they give u those tools. I'm sure those who post deals here would be tracking in some way but why would they give away to you

My 2 cents:
If your phone/laptop purchase requirement is not urgent, make a list of phones currently available in that price (online/offline does not matter). Prefer 1-2 year old premium models from Samsung/Apple, not more than 6 months for other models or brands as they tend to get lesser support. The premium model prices drop drastically within a year, still have more than 2-3 years of software support, have almost all latest features apart from some extras in newer models and way-way better than similarly priced non-premium latest phones.
Look for long term reviews on youtube. You may look for issues as well and many people specially smaller youtubers will give more honest reviews. Be cautious to stay away from rant videos (mostly fanboys of any particular brand)
Wait for the sale.. its usually every couple months on Flipkart/Amazon, sometimes even earlier. Offline sale will be usually brand sale, like anniversary or couple others during festivals. If you like the price, go for it.
Remember, the longer you wait, the better the prices for the older models until the company stops making it and clear its inventory. The deciding factor should be how urgently you need to make the purchase.
Well buy once in 3 years:) DONT BUY BASED ON URGE AND MARKETING, buy and upgrade only when you really need it like your current phone is broken or so or else dont ever buy in this planned obsolete economy (dont fall for peer pressure and social pressure of latest gig)
