I am planning to invest in mutual fund through a debit card, last year government allowed through debit card. Has anyone tried this or know any steps?

Why debit card? if the platform you invest supports debit card then you can using Federal and ICICI banks. Why waste time with it simply use UPI. Not sure the cut off time for debit card it might be 1:30 PM debit card comes with expiry if you do SIP you are in trouble.

debit card gives flexibility of transactions and also it can help me achieve minimum transaction for lounge access, almost all lounge access are gone now with minimum spend criteria

Earlier you could just invest directly in the fund house website using debit cards. But that was discontinued due to regulations change(before my time investing in mfs). So don't know if this is the case.

Last I checked, freecharge allowed you to invest with debit cards BUT only for specific regular funds which is not worth it. Check it out.

But remember to only use the debit card that belongs to the account you have linked with the AMC.

You could maybe fill fuel with debit card and that would qualify as quarterly spends for lounge access @ OP?
