Rare to find Rides accepting any mode of payment.
Don't know if it's because of my location etc.. are you also facing the same ?

I think that they have negative balance in wallet , and if we directly pay through wallet, company reducts it from wallet and takes commision for app usage
While this is true, still it's not a reason why customers should suffer 
Simply report them and/or give 1 star rating. Some even ask to cancel the ride and go offline to save money on commissions but don't share the profit with you. If they ask you to take an offline ride, ask for a 10% ride fare discount.
I select gpay as mode of payment during booking on Uber and after ride is finished i pay it with credit card by going into the uber app and clicking on the top notification to settle the transaction, ignoring the payment request on gpay after the ride completion
I always use uber wallet for uber cab rides. 95% of cab drivers and 50% of auto drivers are ok with it.

💯 true bro. That’s why always go by cash mode … atleast it doesn’t cost my mental peace of picking up call and then seeing the driver cancel the ride.
