Now, don't panic, it's not all bad. You can turn off this personalization stuff if you want, but then you'll lose out on some features like synced suggestions and pre-login access. Plus, you'll be bothered by captchas on every website. My advice? Make the switch to Mozilla and add some extensions like uBlock Origin. Trust me, you'll be glad you did!😃
How are sites getting my number and address without even signing up on the site

I was randomly checking out few shirts on rare rabbit on the chrome browser through my phone and added a few to the cart. Though I have never visited that site before , I instantly got a whatsapp message from the Rare rabbit business whatsapp account about the cart as well as my address. Same thing happened as I was surfing through the noise website. This was really scary, how are they getting user data and isn't it against user privacy law. Mind you I had never visited these sites nor signed up.

Never login to chrome browser. Create a incognito shortcut and always use this
Nah i think
it has something to do with his cookie settings and permission things that he forgot to remove dont know just wild guess
I got Brave and it blocks almost all of this stuff. As mentioned above Firefox performs well as well but Brave seems to have better memory management in my experience.
lots of d2c brands use the same cart / checkout provider ( connected via shopify etc) like popclub or in your case i think it's by shiprocket you may have assigned in to one of website using same checkout provider so it mapped your address cart etc to phn number in case of shiprocket it could also be due to some order shipped by them
that explains address and phone number linkage
now how it knows that the person browsing had this phone number. its either an auto sign in by the checkout provider due to your sign in on some other website with it and where you didn't signed our so it maintained that session( probably the car for noise website using gokwik). also rare rabbit provder had sign in with Truecaller option. so if you have truecaller and at some website you allowed that sign in to this provider it considered that as your confirmation to allow that sign in automatically. so as you went to cart or website it auto signed you in via Truecaller or session. 1 of these 2 are extremely likely case and can happen with privacy blockers etc so don't worry
also data/user privacy is a myth it doesn't exist
@Total_Fun @Total_Fun Yes, this is so freaking scary as well as annoying too. I'm glad to read some of the helpful suggestions that others have offered here. Thanks @gojo_sensei @Total_Fun
