For a flat in Bangalore, I am super confused about home interior.
Since, I will make it a self occupied home. I have so many ideas and want best without going overboard with the budget.
Which is the best Interior designer company I can contact in Bangalore ?
Visited Livspace and was awfully dissatisfied. They design wasn't as per my liking and customization options were very limited. Only customization they offered was material n color. For 3BHK, wardrope in 3 rooms, kitchen, TV cabinet n Shoerack , they quoted 8.6L. Is this reasonable ?
What are the things I need to be aware of ?
The house is still being constructed and designing the same using floor plan map seems difficult, should I wait for flat to be ready before I go on with interior designing company window shopping spree ?

I was searching for an interior firm at Chennai and learnt that the interest that these companies takes in fades once you pays the advance. You have to be after their designers to get this done. The budget quoted by the firm seems reasonable. Choosing the right interior company is time consuming and the promo videos that you find on net are all hooked up. Still watching them gives a broad idea about the latest trends ,Color combinations and you may be ahead of the designers.
i went to dozens of interior firms ,but, livspace was not included as the builder had banned this firm because of safety violation in their earlier projects.
While designing an under construction apartment ,care should be taken in finding the location and size of windows, door openings ,location of electrical points, sprinkler etc. These location can change from the actual drawings.
The designers also seems to give importance to aesthetic features and gives less importance to functional aspects.
Once you finalise the firm it may take them about three moths to execute the project. (a month of design phase ,a month for production and another month for installation
May I ask which interior firm you went with and how was the experience ?
have seen multiple Facebook and instagram ads... once you can try ..
Do not go for any professional company specially via ads from Instagram etc.
Bhai @IVI @gakarshit957 I am planning to buy since 6 years.. everything I turn back due to cost.. now seeing a timer has bought.. must be a good value for money deal.. just trying to be brave.. no harm in telling the project t name though
Interior contact I can help, my brother has done through someone.. you can take a look can share photos in dm or whatsapp.. it was 10 lakh for 2 bhk.. premium one
Would help A LOT if you also expanded on what to pull instead (if something else).
(Theek hai, samjh gaye. Taang🦵🏼 🙅🏻nahin.. kheenchna hai. Par sahayata mil jaati agar pehle hee yeh bhi pata chal jaata.. ki kya kheenchne ki anumati hai.)
It then feels strange to note that you are THIS unsure about the budget of the interiors.
Not aware of the nitty-gritties of how professional companies operate off late.
But last I recollect working on a project where they had a hoity-toity interior designer... the client/property owner would often take the interior designer or their business partner .. to Delhi, Bombay or wherever they were bottom fishing or purchasing at art houses, exhibitions or in general from relevant (antiquity) shops.
Despite it being a combined decision with the owners too in-charge.. the interior designer also got paid a small set percent as a contractual payment.. for it all.
So yeah.. the total bills of such its purchased.. into N% of it.
This was ON TOP of or aside from the fixed pay to design the interiors.<,br>
I do not know how you are approaching it.
But generally.. the overall theme (with client/owner consultations, client imputs) is designed and blueprints by one agency (usually the interiors people) and the furniture part can be done by a different agency.
So yeah... one way is to have a 'turn key' project where the client simply signs up (pays) for one master agency (contractor) who then coordinate and arrange for the plumbing agency/ workers, the overall interior design, the furniture and so on.
Or one can go shopping around for new/young but talented , creative interior designer who too is looking gor projects under his/her belt or to build their portfolio of good projects to showcase.
Main thing is that they should be able to adhere to timelines.
Then via local references.. one can separately (on their own).. hire c9ntractors or labour for the plumbing work.
Ditto for the flooring. The bathroom flooring and the rest of the room's flooring may or may not be done by the same contactir/agency.
If one is not fussy or wants to go with the flooring which the constitution company or the construction contractor is providing.. then that is one less thing to bother about.
If custom built furniture is there... then THAT takes the royal share in the project.
Especially if it is .. say 140 square metres or more carpet area.
(still not too clear on what's the carpet area and the exact things for which the 0.85 million was quoted.)
Typically the kitchen needs more planning and rigorous to and from between the client and the furniture agency.
How can we (outsiders) randomly comment on what is reasonable and what is not... without even having some basic idea ofvwhat materials and what finish one settled for and the overall layout or how much kitchen furniture or what sized wardrobes and how many.. will be there!
Even those who go for economy MDF based furniture.. would have to use marine-ply in lower spaces (closer to the ground) 8n kitchen, wash areas.
laminates/ veneers now come in SO MANY varieties and has such advances as UV cured bonding/pasting.
Hence all this has to be better understood first than to abruptly comment on the 0.85 million quote.
For an average sized project, for example a 140 square feet (built up) apartment, even simple choices like standard hinges, side channels (for drawers) versus the soft landing (soft closing) ones can have significant impact on the overall material costs alone.
If okay, around which year?
Was it
▪︎ in Bengaluru?
▪︎ for furniture?
if furniture, did it include kitchen?
▪︎ If it included kitchen, did it have provisions (space) for the exhaust and the kitchen chimney?
▪︎ Mostly particle board, pure wood, plywood or in MDF/HDF? (medium-density fibreboard, high density)?
How did your relative get the doors done? innosentguy_me
,
I mean, the doors of the rooms.. including the main entrance? (As provided by builder/contractor versus custom/ as per choice).
For fixtures within the furniture.. did they opt for soft-landing hinges and soft-closing side channels (rails) for the drawers?
Thanks for helping😊/ offering to help🤍💙.

I have got aluminium kitchen in ground floor. Its cheaper compared to wood.
Even if they say boiled water resistant, they don't say it isn't thermite proof.
Don't go with big names like homelane etc unless you want to lose your sleep over their commitments on delivery.
