Holiday Trip in MakeMyTrip

I planned to book a holiday trip with family in MakeMyTrip.
I saw some cases in internet that they don't help if flight is cancelled, what should I confirm with Customer care regarding this?
is there any other issues that I have to look into?
How is MMT overall?
I don't see any other broker starting from my location.
This is my first trip through private booking.
I don't want to travel all by my own.

For flight cancellations, most agents do not do much beyond refunds as per policy. (It always helps to get flexi fares options/ fully refundable flights. Especially if connections at risk.)
They have some premier membership or loyalty program too. But I assume if one books the whole package via them, they ought to help in cases of any denial by the business (lodging/boarding) or harassment over extra charges.
That said, I am not too big a fan of these portals.
Especially Break My Trip. Once someone had mistakenly or intentional kept their e-mail forwarding ON, to someone else in the office.
The person (who used MMT) was travelling international and set office e-mails to auto reply and forward to staff.
Some airline/flight booking e-mail ce. The staff checking the e-mails.. mistakenly thought that some spam e-mail/booking had come to her.
Replied from her own e-mail address (not even registered on MMT) asking for the booking to be cancelled. MMT agents cancelled the ticket of the person flying international!
But many who use IRCTC ClerarTrip MMT are happy with them.

MMT is good and reliable. Have been using it along with Goibibo for years now. No cancellations for their side so far however I did cancel my resort bookings couple of times and the refund process was seamless. They even help to move your booking dates if needed.
