I needed to understand hni allotment process. Lets say I apply for an ipo with 14 lots and an ipo got oversubscribed by 42 times. Will my chances of getting allotment will be 1 out of 42 or 42/3 which comes to 1 out of 3?

1:42. If the IPO is oversubscribed in the sNII/sHNI sub-category (>1x), the allotment to each investor shall not be less than the minimum application size (~Rs 2 lakhs), subject to availability of equity shares in the sNII portion. In this case, a lottery will be conducted. This is similar to the allocation in the Retail category.
In recent IPO....rocking deal SMe , Tata Tech , Flair , gandhar , Ireda .... For rockign deal I have bought single lot, and rest 3lots of each stocks.... But sadly , randomly or luckily no allotment in any of them.... ...
Although each one have placed/listed good...
And traders have good amount of listing gain ....
But I....cursed my fate.....
There is no point of 3 lot as the BoA will be same throughout the retail category in case of oversubscription. So, 3 lot or 1 lot both will have similar chance of allotment of 1 lot only.
Do BHNI have higher share as compared to SHNI? Generally 15% is HNI quota & I have seen 10% for bHNI & 5% for SHNI in some sites - is this the general norm?
random, luck, or total misuse of power
