Naah, not a regular traveler Just about once or twice a year. Maybe I just have to ask icici to send a visa coral debit card.

OK, but a tough task to get it swapped.
All VIsa signature cards & Visa Infinite (of any bank) have access to lounges in India (think 2 free times per quarter)
http://www.visa.co.in/infinite/offers/index_det...
For global go for cards which give Priority Pass with some free access (limited). Many cards give free Priority Pass but every access gets charged. But some cards Like HDFC Wrold Miles & HDFC All Miles give limited times of free entry trhough Priority Pass
An old but interesting read on this:
I would suggest you to get Citibank premier miles credit card. I use the same card as well. As a joining bonus, you would get 10,000 miles which is equivalent to 4,500 rupees.You can you redeem miles for flight tickets/hotels etc. Joining fees and subsequent yearly renewal fees is 3000 + 14% tax. You also have an option to cancel the card before the next year’s renewal comes up.;-}
I have been using premier miles for 3 years now and experience has been superb. Even rewards ratio is much better than any other card.
Citi premier miles offers 6 quarterly lounge visits.

The only one i found till now is HDFC diners club which also offers lounge access https://www.bankbazaar.com/credit-card/hdfc-din...
Incidentally, this is lifetime free card when applied through bankbazaar, according to the executive.

Entry level one is available for free from HDFC e application website as well.
Why bother for credit cards. Rupay platinum offers 2 access/quarter yr and valid in 24 lounges in India at Rs2 per visit.
ICICI coral visa is free for old customers, It is valid on visa lounges at above rates and visits.
Master cards charges are Rs25/visit but u may have to maintain min quarterly balance.
I have not seen this condition with Rupay cards. For Rs 100 as ATM charges u get accidental insurance and other offers on irctc/wallets. U virtually get it free.
i am noob in this Lounge access thing, so can anyone clarify me the benefits of this Airport Lounge access scheme?

You get free food/beverages (buffet) and a nice place to sit and relax while you wait for the boarding to begin.
Some lounges (mostly catering only to international travelers) even have shower and sauna rooms.
Basically, if you visit a lounge which has partnered with your card network (specific Visa/MasterCard/Amex branded cards), you get to use the lounge for free. Otherwise, the charges are anywhere from about 700 bucks to 1500 (domestically) per visit.

ok, so there are some who cater to domestic travellers also,
I thought this free part was for international flights only.
Anyways, this isn’t my cup of tea, i am yet to be a domestic flight traveller , let alone international one.
This might help you out

Per visit and only primary card holder gets the privileges for free.
