"Help Needed with Airtel Prepaid to Postpaid Migration, Billing Confusion, and Airtel Black Benefits!"

Hi all,
Recently, while exploring postpaid options in the Airtel Thanks app, I accidentally switched to the ₹1199+GST Infinity Postpaid Plan (1 primary + 3 add-ons). After confirming, I received an SMS about 100GB credited. However, I’m now facing issues with the compensation for my unused prepaid validity. Here’s the breakdown:
- Primary Number: I had 4 days of prepaid validity, so Airtel said I’d get ₹200, though only ₹100 is showing this billing cycle (no clear info on the remaining ₹100).
- Add-on Number 1: 59 days of validity left, promised ₹600, but only ₹100 showed up. Airtel said I’d receive ₹100/month in future bills, but I’m still concerned about transparency.
- Add-on Number 2: 29 days of validity, so I should get ₹400. However, no credit appeared, and Airtel insists there was no remaining validity. This is my biggest issue.
- Add-on Number 3: 12 days of validity, eligible for ₹200. I’m waiting to address this until my other add-on credit issue is resolved.
Questions:
- Is there an official capping on these compensations per billing period?
- Has anyone faced similar issues with missing or partial validity compensation?
- Any tips to verify my previous validity to Airtel, as my prepaid transaction history vanished post-migration?
- If I link my plan to Airtel Black with my postpaid Wi-Fi, the bill will be around ₹1885. Since my Airtel Axis Credit Card has a ₹250 cashback cap, can I split the bill between two cards for maximum cashback?
- My current plan includes OTT benefits (Hotstar and Prime for 1 year). I’ve heard migrating to Airtel Black might remove these in favor of Black plan OTTs—is this true?
Thanks for any insights or advice!
