Hi everyone, I've been using Windows laptops for a long time, but my current one has some issues and isn't ideal for travel anymore.
I'm planning to buy a new laptop, especially for travel. It should be lightweight and powerful enough to run 2-3 virtual machines at the same time. My old laptop can only run one at a time.
Most of the time, I'll be running 3-5 Chrome profiles, 1-2 virtual machines, VS Code, and 1-2 other development tools in the background.
I want to buy it during Prime Day. My net budget, after offers and discounts, is 70-75K INR.
Should I go for a MacBook instead? I've heard good things about its battery, performance, and optimization. But will I get a similar-performing Windows laptop for cheaper?
Please suggest your best options. Thanks!

Any idea if it can run 2 VMs at the same time? Somewhere I read it can only run 1. Suppose I assign 4GB RAM & 2 Cores to each VM.
ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 is what you are looking for. Dell XPS is another option. But both will cost a bit more.
But, is it really worth it to compromise a lot of things to save 1kg weight?
Buy any gaming laptop of 2023-24 instead, like Predator, Omen or ROG. There hasn't been any changes in processor or GPU from last year even though processor number may have changed.
As of now, there hasn't been a MacBook equivalent other than that Snpadragon laptop, but it is in early stages, so I would avoid it this year.
Thanks. Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 looks good.
Can you tell me what all features I am compromising if I go for 1 kg lesser weight?
Also rhe gaming laptops you said are these?
I've been using Acer Nitro 5 for the past 3 years - gaming laptop but packs a good punch when it comes to processing power. But like all gaming laptops it can be a bit heavy though - but if you are an able bodied individual you'll hardly notice it anyway. You do not have to splurge extra for the latest gen - last 2 gens will do fine for your requirements.
Go with trusted brand and check if there is an authorized service center in your town just in case. Besides why overpay for a Mac when you can get a much better config Windows laptop from reliable manufacturers.
I am also searching for a windows laptop which is sleek and have good battery with performance without being plugged in always So that I can work in coffee shops Mostly I will work on visual studio(not code) It is resource hungry software and also attend meetings with it simultaneously
